MPAA Now Unable to Afford Basic Software

Recommended Posts

Who. Cares.

It could be argued whether the "need to get out" (ugh, that's so clich?), would be just as necessary for a person spending time posting in threads where you don't care just to show the world that you don't care. At least persons who do have some reason to post.

If anyone here actually laughed out loud at this, you need to get out... Either that or you hate the MPAA way too much for no damn reason. I mean common, who gives a crap? "Oh noes, someone in a huge organization used a trial version to create a document that found it's way online!" This is even sadder than that time when cracked audio editor hex codes were found under some MS Windows sounds. Who. Cares.

Piracy is a major concern for companies that are against it, but in the case of Microsoft they were being hypocritical.

In this case, it's a major PR concern because most Trial software is not supposed to be used for production work (legally).

I don't care what piracy you do or do not do, but you have to see the big picture or else you're being naive.

forgot to mention we can repack the files and infect it with w32.something ... i am sure they are using a crappy FREE AV w/o updating their definitions :p ... hack their servers and clear all the IP of file /music sharing people they have been saving

Not only that, I think he now has the longest postin> this thread (after the initial post)...:

Microsoft didn't do it, the company that created that sound file did.

Hahaha. Shows them that some software really does cost too much

Roul,

I have checked your 3 posts and it seems that you have come on the forums and act as though you are some kind of hacker etc and know more about warez etc than a lot of members on here. I am not saying that there are many hackers, crackers or illegal software downloaders on here, but you will find that many users of this forum are very well versed in that type of world.

May i ask that you read through the forum rules before posting any further as you have already broken 1 forum rule in Shane's topic from last summer and resurecing it and may have already broken another rule by admiting you are using pirated software.

I am not trying to be a MOD, but it infuriates me when people come on to a forum acting like they are something amasing yet they dont take the time to read the rules properly.

Cheers,

Rich

Pretty smart to come on here and talk about you pirating games... Pretty quick way to earn at least a few warnings...

And 99.9% of the people I've ever met who said they were rich actually aren't, usually trying to impress people with words.

To the topic of this post: I would bet the file will be changed soon, if it hasn't already. Not like the MPAA to leave their pants down after being publicly whipped for something like this :p.

    • I'm not aware of this issue, but to help the other guys.  What version of Android are you using? Did you try a different browser? To see if Edge is the issue here.
    • I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
    • I disagree; they come off very "bitchy" and "whiny". Make a great product and combine that with a great price (free) and people will come over to your side. Or build it and they will come as they say. Constantly trying to get attention by complaining all the time, will turn people off to your product.
    • It use to be a nightmare, with LibreOffice supporting a newer draft ODF standard by default, and Microsoft Office supporting the older non-draft standard. Now that they both support the same version of ODF, they should be interoperable.
    • Brave Browser 1.91.171 by Razvan Serea Brave Browser is a lightning-fast, secure web browser that stands out from the competition with its focus on privacy, security, and speed. With features like HTTPS Everywhere and built-in tracker blocking, Brave keeps your online activities safe from prying eyes. Brave is one of the safest browsers on the market today. It blocks third-party data storage. It protects from browser fingerprinting. And it does all this by default. Speed - Brave is built on Chromium, the same technology that powers Google Chrome, and is optimized for speed, providing a fast and responsive browsing experience. Brave Browser also features Brave Rewards, a system that rewards users with Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for viewing opt-in ads. This innovative system provides an alternative revenue model for content creators and a way to support the Brave community. SlimBrave Neo takes all the good things about Brave and makes them even better by keeping everything clean, light, and privacy-focused. It removes the extra clutter, turns off features you might not need, and cuts down on anything that could slow you down or collect unnecessary data. Because it relies on simple settings and policies instead of modifying the browser itself, you still get full Brave compatibility—just in a smoother, lighter, and more privacy-friendly package. Brave Browser 1.91.171 changelog: General Fixed Cardano not being disabled on upgrade to Brave Origin. Upgraded Chromium to 149.0.7827.103.
