I'm having to use the XP style star menu due to wanting to use x48 sized desktop icons and the 2 annoying things are the 2 fake buttons that serve no purpouse whatsoever and are only there for the 'look' but at the expense of functionality with having to hide the real log off and shutdown buttons in the hidden white area under 'all programs' :(

Can't this white area be made black and the logoff/shutdown buttons be shifted over to the left so that they actually have some functionality? The positioning of the hidden logoff/shutdown buttons also overlap the left hand side of the start menu border :(

Here's a quick mock-up to explain what I mean:

Anyone know if this is this possible to do? Loving the theme otherwise :)

OOh... u using that? :D U need to set ur desktop icons to small... other wise they'll appear... that white line is an icon actually... It should work... :D

hmm..i think it could use a little work..but not bad.

Nice try, but no thanks

TiP: Use the KoL version and borrow some of the 'real' Vista shellstyles of the other productions.

You'll get a nice front, a bit of Vista and a tiny bit of XP, without the wannabe errors.

(PS: don't confront me with ' unauthorized use of someone else's shellstyles'... They didn't create them in the first place (MS did))

i am using kol's version with a nice blue horizontal shellstyle.

i am using kol's version with a nice blue horizontal shellstyle.

same here - seems the best choice - everything skins properly, no errors, & on renaming the vistaxp.msstyles file to luna - my office 2003 apps are skinned again (in royale blue)

KoL must be the master - shame he wasn't able to release 3.0 of the vs, maybe with the vista start button

i took the royale theme and added stuff from luna and vista themes to come up with the theme i use.

if i could remember which themes i got what from i'd ask there makers to be able to post the theme.

there have been so many vista mods its kinda hard to keep up with.

p.s. i wish i could get the cap buttons grouped together tho as i've tried everything but still can't figure it out.
