gta sa corrupt save game file

as the title says..

after completing the mission in san fierro where you have to drive to save mike, and you go to the construction site, and then to the docks, and then finally to the airport, where you shoot a bunch of people rescue him, and drive away from the cops to the pay n' spray, finally drving back to the club. i stopped playing. when i want to play and i try to load the game from when i saved. it says that it is corrupted.

is there a way of fixing this problem? or does someone have a save game that is in a similar position in the game? 'cos i really want to continue playing, but don't want to start all over again.

Don't you have any other save game files? I think your only option is to go back to an old save.

If you enabled cheats and went to save the man from jumping off the building, it corrupts your save file (and it was one specific cheat too - can't remember).

Corrupt save games in SA can't be recovered I'm afraid. You'll either have to start again or find someone in a similar place and get their save game file. I think over at www.gtaforums.com there is a thread with loads and loads and loads of save games. There might be one in there that will be near enough where you were.
