Do i need to add SLI to this system?

Recommended Posts

hi there ,

I'm building a new pc for gaming , components purshased till now are the following :

Athlon 64 X2 4400+

Gigabyte K8N Pro SLI

2GB DDR400

120GB SATA II drives in raid 0 config

300GB SATA drive

7800GTX 256MB

SoundBlaster X-FI

ThermalTake PurePower 680 PSU

21 Viewsonic CRT Display @1600x1200

should i add one more 7800GTX to my setup for maximum performance in games? or will this setup be sufficient to play new games @high res with max details?

I'm new to the AMD world and the flagship graphic cards , i'm moving from P4 2.8 and 9800pro so i cant determine if this newly build setup will give me enough horsepower o run latest games @max details settings.

Thanks

How much money you got? If you can cover it then... why not?

Lol F.E.A.R., I think that may be the first game that come out a little to early, so damn demanding, but such sweet graphics, sound, physics. Great rig, I wouldn't go with SLI until after playing some games to see if you would really need it.
