[Shell Patcher] Tango Icons for Windows

Recommended Posts

All these screencaps are making my modem hurt :/

You've probably got a comctl32 variant I hadn't caught before. In fact, if you're running 2003 SP2, I'd be surprised if you weren't. Fire up a command prompt, run

dir /b %windir%\winsxs\*common-controls*.*

and copy-paste the output, and I'll try to get it in the next not-vaporware update.

I've the same problem and here's my output:

Does a Tango icon for uTorrent exist? If yes, could somebody please post it?

is there a Bigger uTorrent icon avaible ? SVG ?

Aha. Ahahaha.

I remember making that jaggedy uTorrent icon a couple of months ago. It was made in photoshop and then stretched to obvlion and looks like crap. I thought it was a nice try but the new "real" Tango version is way better. That old jaggedy icon needs to die a slow and painful death.

lol

is there a photoshop and a xplorer2 tangonized icons?

Tango is taking over the world. At first I was under the impression that Cats, Albino Squirrels, and Peacocks were planning world domination but it is now very much certain that the Tango Project has aligned with global warming to control us all.

Seriously though, half of the open source programs out are now using Tango icons! he newest addition to the native Tango family is Pidgin IM (funky name but better than GAIM). Apparently, Hylke Bons from the Tango Project redid all of the icons using Tango guidelines. He even recreated all the medium icons so they are Tangoized. YAY!

WOOPAH!

EDIT: Sorry for even more images Vert. I hope your modem doesn't mind much ;). Just to be nice, I won't put up all the spiffy Tango Pdigin icons and imags from Hykle Bons's site.

Just downloaded beta 7, it looks great, love having a native skinned messanger, although with Gaim (pidgin) and miranda I always have trouble sending files, hoefully beta 7 works, the last one I tried was 5. The new tango icons are a welcome change.

Au contraire, I checked the Pidgin site for the latest public release build a few days ago and didn't find anything, so I wouldn't have checked for another week or so if you hadn't said anything :p

i've been using gaim for so long and then i switched to miranda IM, and the new gaim (or whatever it's called) looks freaking amazing! im so using this one right now :D

EDIT:

also...anyone has some kind of tango tv icon? :p i asked for it few pages ago, if anyone has one please share (needed for tv card software)

Yet the RAM usage advantage is still by great means in favour of Miranda. 6-10MB << 20-25MB

Sticking with Miranda though I am considering jacking Pidgin imagery :)

the new Pidgin is really nice but still miss few things that msn has....webcam support

They also still have a problem with Pidgin-to-AIM Direct Connection, don't they? You weren't able to paste pictures directly from the clipboard in Pidgin, last I remember...

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
