your map [maps/de_dust2.bsp] differs from the server's

i get that error when trying to connect to any de_dust 1or 2 maps on counter strike source

i have googled and found out u have to delete de_dust2.bsp but i cant find that any other way to fix it

not sure why it might have happend but if you do delete the map when you next connect to a server running that map it should download it for you. As long as the server you are joining has the correct version i don't think there'd be any problems. i think ;)

Don't know if it would have solved it in this case, but normally when this happens and you haven't downloaded another version for you to delete, you can normally fix it by validating the game files on your hard drive, if you right click - Properties on the game, then click Local Files and then the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" it'll check the GCF's over to make sure they're correct.

As for the favourites - they keep doing it, seems to happen every other update.

    • ALL surveys are voluntary and very few attempt to track the same percipients over time. That doesn't mean they are invalid. Value doesn't claim it is an aggregate of their entire user base, that is why they call it as survey, which means exactly what it is. Yes, if Value created an anonymized collection of ALL users, that would be more accurate than a survey, but that is something they choose not to do. Just like elections are more accurate than political surveys.
