sort winamp playlist by artist

towards the bottom of the playlist, there's about 4 or 5 icons. One of those will sort you out (not got winamp on this PC so can't say which one it is)

yes, at the bottom of the playlist editor there is a "misc" button with a sorting option - by title, filename, path. if you keep your files in order than that should do it

"Sort list by title" will do it if you have the playlist set up so that it displays the titles with the artists name first, e.g artist - song.

To make sure it's set up that way, go to preferences, then to titles and under advanced title formatting make sure the box is ticked and you can either press default or make up a new one as long as artist is first.
