Problems with BitComet

I'm trying to download a torrent using BitComet but it isn't downloading. The torrent has 738 peers and 8 seeds at the moment; it's connected to all the seeds but only 48 of the peers. It's downloading at 0kb/s and uploading at 0kb/s. I'm not sure if it's my connection or BitComet, but I called my ISP and they said there wasn't a problem with my connection so I'm guessing it's a BitComet problem. I'm not an expert on BitTorrent so if anyone has any suggestions or know how to fix this problem, please let me know.

It's because there are about 100 times more people trying to download than people who are uploading, that is why you are struggling to download or get a decent speed.

My suggestion: find a torrent with more seeds.

Yeah, I tried other torrents, but I always get the same result. The sites don't update themselves enough - the site that I downloaded this torrent from said there were 60+ active seeders; obviously that isn't the case.

I forgot to mention, once you are connected to the torrent in question click the "peers" list and you can see how much everyone else has downloaded on that torrent, so you know that your not the only person in the same boat.

1. replace BitComet with uTorrent. trust me, it's better and you'll understand once you switch.

2. get on a private torrents site versus the public ones like torrentspy and piratebay.

Tried utorrent. Nothing downloaded. But did with bitcomet!

Are you behind a router? If so it could be that the ports are not open. You'll have to configure that in your router settings (usually your lan ip "192.168.1.xx")

Bitcomet Works Much better With DHT Than Utorrent

uTorrent works sooo much faster and more oficiant. I used to use BitComet but now Im using uTorrent.
