Of course I can :p

It's a modded version of LE5 to the new LE5 cause I couldn't wait any longer when you said it's going to take a while :p

The right pane on the right side is taken from the TABPANEEDGE.BMP image.

I could explain it a bit better if you want :p

I wanted to add the new shutdown buttons as well but they are to large on the screenshot :p

@em3: they where to big to fit in the originals :p

Maybe I can make them work with Stylebuilder.

And how small do you have that user name in mind :p

I think the first one looks better with that faded right Placespanel from the right screenshot.

@BlitzCRO: Yes, there is an Iconpackage for it.

Of course I can :p

Hey Capricorn, can you please upload images and instructions for doing like the first screen? I can't wait for LE5.1 too!

Thanks a lot!

Here's a modded version of LE 5 Royal & Black. The User Pane is set at 32 and the User name text at -16. The Orginal is set at 65 & -19 respectively. To get the very small UserPane you can set it at 8 ans 0 for the text or delete the text option. This was done in WB but Stylebuilber would be very similar if not the same.

Does anyone know how to remove the Log Out and Shutdown text on the startmenu? I know it can be done with some tweaking in regedit.

It is not so simple as it may look if you don't know how to use stylebuilder or a graphics program.

No mods here please.

While I really like LE5, I run this modded version of GuiAir as my default theme. This is the WindowBlinds version where the Start button, taskbar, taskbar buttons and Shellex have a been modded.

You are clearly in the wrong thread. Edited by em3

@em3: There is a app called LSPatch.exe in a few Vista Visual Styles that removes the text for you.

It bassicly hacks your explorer.exe.

Regedit cant remove the text unfortunatly.

I'm not hoping we have to remove the text in the startpanel cause I hate patching my system files :p

@Mad_Griffith: I'm not releasing anything from my mod, you'll have to wait till em3 releases it.

I'm not even using it myself cause else it wouldn't be fun when em3 releases 5.1

And I respect em3's dissicion about mods, he hates mods and so do I actually :p

Please, no! This patch is very buggy and does not work on Non-English XP systems. Leave the text alone.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
    • Now disable that stupid OneDrive backup request when Windows starts please. So unbelievably frustrating to only have “remind me later” instead of “no and never ask me again”
