If you really like that sort of thing it's not too hard to modify yourself. The easiest way I have found is to use Windowblinds and SkinStudio. Import the styles into skinstudio and then you can just mix and match pieces from different themes, colorize them, etc.

I use this method to create the perfect LE theme for me. It starts with LE4( the best LE :p) as the base, and I imported the scrollbars and dropdown buttons from LE5. It's so easy with SkinStudio and no I don't work for Stardock, I just like to modify my themes and I'm real lazy about it.

Find shellstyle.dll. Go into the same directory as LE.msstyles. Create folder called Shell. Create folder called Blue (or BlueC), and drop the shellstyle in there.

Hello!

I tried to use a shellstyle posted here and followed the instructions above and didn't work. Little help here!!!

Cheers

Anyone has any ideas/suggestions? Or is this a bug that we have to live with because of the size of the buttons?

All the min/max/close buttons seems to work perfectly except when the restore and max buttons are beside each other, anyone have any idea on what I can try to adjust to fix this with Stylebuilder?

@amd2500+: What you want is not possible, it's a limitation of the Windows skinning engine.

The images that is used there is the same as the image that is used for a maximized window.

If you change the image to look nice for that tipe of windows it wont look nice on maximized windows :)

Thanks for the explanation. I guess the only way these buttons will look right with the windows skinning engine is for them to be all the same size? The reason I say this is all the other themes I've used with uniform sizing buttons don't have this issue.

    • I noticed this was already happening within my organization; my teams location will change between remote and on-site without me having to do anything. Is it possible this is live already for select customers?
    • I wonder what it will show when I'm plugged in with my ethernet cable at home and not using WiFi.
    • While LibreOffice is not pleased to see a new competitor, they are absolutely correct in stating that Euro-Office using a MS file standard as a default is not being truly "European." Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
    • Microsoft continues its long-term policy of spying on their users--despite vehement denials. That feature will be disabled (or removed) either "elegantly" with MS providing a true way to disable it, or "quick and dirty" via a third-party who WILL come up with a way to disable it. Your choice MS...
