Since the demand for the black version is obviously huge I could possibly release a public beta version of the black style in this thread, even though I don't feel comfortable releasing unfinished stuff.

EDIT. Only grammar. :p

Do it! DO IT NOW!

But seriously, if you want a beta tester, or someone who could possibly help work on the XP release, I wouldn't mind taking a stab at it. That is, if you haven't completely lost hope in Windows XP yet. *cough*Vista traitor*cough* :p

XP isn't totally out of the question. After all, in Vista you need create 2 designs for the captionbars. One design that support transparency and one that doesn't.

Definately a great idea. I think you'll find people will be happy to finish it themselves. Allows them to add a personal touch to it too. What's the chance of allowing mods to be released in this case?

Yeah you might as well after months of leading people on to believe you were working on releasing a black version...might as well throw us a bone now that you've given up on it.

That are exactly my thoughts. I don't want it anymore. Keep it for yourself, King Emil.

It's just a bunch of pixels. It's not like anyone is going to collapse on the ground and die a horrible, bloody death if you don't get the black version. I admit that the anticipation for the black version was almost orgasmic in this thread and the teaser that was posted here and there didn't help but em3, like all other skinners, has the right to do what he chooses with the stuff he creates. If he chooses to not freely distribute the black theme (even after teasing us for half a year) than so be it. A lot of people will be furious but Life goes on...

It would be cool for the theme to be released 'as is' on XP though. Just sayin'.

Lmao, some of you people should understand that theming its not Em3's life..., he does it for fun, and he havent signed anything that forces him to release or to continue something hah..., let him do whatever he wants, however he wants, its his choice, not ours :p

Keep the good work on Vista then Em3, i might enjoy your skins in a few years when i deciede to install Vista, since for now, i wont :p!

did you not read the above posts?

Development of the new black LE is continued by another artist. He'll announce when it's ready (here).
do we get any hints at who this may be? Or will he be like The Stig and we'll never know... even in death... well... you did say he'd post but... well you get the point...

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
