Finally got my Axim X5 working again (dead backup battery)

I only currently use it for TomTom 5, which is great, but i have a 30 minute commute to work and back every day, and i would like to use it more often.

I have a few Q's.

How do i "skin" it, i cant find and simple answers.

I am using the "switcher bar" and when i press the X to close a app, switcher bar reports it still being open, why is this?

What is the best video/music player? i have files of all different types i would like to use, so far i have only found programs that play 1 or 2 of the types (i use MOV, WMV, OGG etc)

What are some good apps. I dont have a use for it now (such as my budget) but i would use programs if i found good ones.

Any other tips etc are welcome !

Thanks

There is really isn't any program for the Pocket PC that can play .MOV files. The Core Movie Player (already mentioned) is the most versatile and provides the highest performance; it can play one kind of .MOV file but not the popular codecs.

Because the 'X' simply hides the program in the background (that's just what it does...), you need additional applications to close an application for good. There are many free ones listed on the sites Allan mentioned.

Opera Beta is available for the Pocket PC. A very nice upgrade from PocketIE.
