ok I got the sweet java code, and it looks like its working... soon to come ... blended top photos in java!!!

also, added search

the template for this site can be found at oswd! go check them out super awesome coding and some ok designs

Very nice clean looking site. The only thing letting it down is the google adds down the side. They draw away from the clean layout. Nice clear content on there also, good job :).

I dunno if it's just me but it does run slow every now and then. Get it on a faster host possibly.

thanks... Ill cut out all ads other then on the local links pages and the weddings page...

Love it! Very Clean, Pure and Proffessional-looking. Although, I wouldn't mind if those images (at the top) faded into one another rather than changing so suddenly, this way it would be less distracting and more graceful.

Site is updated:

No banner ads on right:

Blended top photos are javascript to appear random at page-load ---- 20 second rotation timing:

+++ This site is built from the base of a template from oswd, I have credited the author, and my site will be featured as owsd tomorrow! +++

as for the guys who were critical of me keeping the poem at top, I happen to like it, and am figuring out a way to display random poems with java at top... so stfu and go do something other then critisize hard working people

isn't your website taken from the templates from oswd.org??

http://www.oswd.org/design/preview/id/2199

looks exactly the same!!

no way, really.. ?

if you looked at my site, you would see at the bottom of EVERY page a link to the templates author...

this site keeps the buttons and the css from the orig ( and I like the poem too )

other then that I say go look at my code, and then the templates.. my code is about 4 pages more

It's 150 seconds rotation timing right now... And why do you use only 3 images??

because its 430am here and I dont want to add any more tonight ;)

It's still only a template though...

ok.. lets see your 100% original work from scratch that you made without any reference to anything at all

it is almost CSS and HTML compliant.. I need to tweak the code and also I need to complete the website...

Almost HTML conpliant? I ran it through the validater at W3C, and there is 36 errors! And it can't even validate the CSS until you fix those errors!

And I'm getting the same problem that others are having with the banner moving over to the right (Mozilla Firefox 1.0.6).

Overall, I like the design- all you need to do is validate it! :D

it is amazing it takes forever to download a template, change the content and then upload it

If its your first site and you added stuff in the content then well done *pats back*, otherwise that shouldnt be taking you forever!

hey, at least I have a website up and running... unlike your always present "comming soon... ... .. ."

Yeah same in Deer Park 1.6a1 (Firefox variant).

ya thats the java script that was supposed to work with firefox, opera and IE

Ill work on that java...

can anyone help aligning the banner? my code is above

thanks

    • Dbrand thought they could get away with this Steam Machine case, Valve disagreed by David Uzondu Image via Dbrand Dbrand has cancelled its highly anticipated Companion Cube enclosure for the Valve Steam Machine, which it teased back in November of last year with a concept render and sign-up page, because it did not ask Valve for permission first before manufacturing the case. According to Dbrand, it took the "backwards approach" of building the product first before asking for permission from the copyright holder. Seven months of work went into the project, requiring over a thousand engineering hours from the design team. Workers developed forty-four sets of injection molding tools, making a unique mold for each sub-component of the crate. When the Companion Cube went live on Monday last week, it, according to Dbrand, quickly became the second-fastest-selling product in the company's fifteen-year history, racking up orders for hundreds of thousands of units. Customers eagerly bought the $129.95 deluxe edition or the bare-bones $99.95 version, which the manufacturer cheekily branded as the "Poverty Cube". It was around this time that the legal eagles at Valve descended on the accessory maker with a formal demand. The developer pointed out that the iconic block design remains protected intellectual property from the game Portal, so unlicensed sales had to stop. Dbrand said that all its pleas to salvage the project with the Valve team, including proposals to run a properly licensed release under official terms "with their blessing", fell on deaf ears, so it had no choice but to obey and remove every trace of the product from the internet. If you bought the enclosure, the company said that banks will process your refund by the end of this week, but if it still hasn't arrived in your account by then, you should not hesitate to contact support. The Steam Machine itself is a high-performance console that Valve designed directly to bring PC gaming into the living room. It was announced on 12th November 2025 (the same day Dbrand announced the Cube) and runs on the Linux-based SteamOS, the same OS that powers the Steam Deck. As for the price, due to the shortage of memory and storage chips, the hardware cost landed much higher than people were expecting, starting at $1,049 for the 512 model (without a controller) or $1,128 with the new gamepad. The premium 2 TB model pushes those prices even higher, selling at $1,349 for the standalone console and hitting $1,428 if you want the bundle.
    • It's listed #399.99 on Amazon, per your link. It's not $299.99.
    • Wonder how much of this it related to them using something like Mythos. It seems everybody is releasing large numbers of updates in the last few weeks.
