Are there any security issues with net send?

It it a good idea to disable if? If so why?

I did try a google, but I am slightly useless at entering the right keywords to find a good result.

Appart from the security issues of net send it can be a pain if someone decides to broadcast messages to the entire workgroup all the time. My suggestion is to kill the service, it's useless anyway nowdays with IM.

Some NT based programs use it. But the one of the reasons its disabled is because it was an easy way for people to advertise and it caused havok. Once i went to bed, woke up and had like 50 of them :no:
