@nismohasan: Punio4 is right. You'll find some times that problem with some buttons becasue I made the text bold. Im not going to remove the bold I like it :)

I'm going to make an update with dark text version and Yz Toolbar soon. Im a little busy with work now :)

My suggestion to those that want a true y'z toolbar icon set. Load up skinstudio and the thallos WB theme and export the toolbar icons as a file. Then use y'z toolbar and import them.

Bing bang boom you have a toolbar that is the same as the WB version. Of course you need KoL's permission before you can post it anywhere but for your own personal enjoyment it works great.

This is a nice VS, Kol; I really like it. But I'm seeing some issues in SeaMonkey.

* There is a line on the back and forward button arrow.

* The tab bar is very wide.

* The top of the status bar is strange. (Lines are not in line).

There are a few other things, but they're the big ones.

Those are problem of the browser not the theme. Firefox have the status bar problem.

Emule ?????

weird, I dont think I can do anything about that.

here is a bunch of bugs i have noticed

figure 1 - text on buttons getting cut off... this happens it alot of programs in a lot of situations...

thallosbuttons2sq.jpg

figure 2 - as with previous styles of yours, there is a problem where context menu items have an opaqe overlay on them. compare the classic and windows screen shots compared to yours.

figure 3 - this is the last major quirk i have noticed with the style, but the spacing on the task bar is not correct at all. look at the spacing to the left of the windows orb, and then to the right between the quick start. the orb is spaced too far to the left. you can also see what the spacing it not even on the other side of the bar as well.

i think it would also be great to see this style in more color schemes once you get all of the bugs fixed.

The first bug is caused by the bold text. The second one is caused by the coloring of the context menu. The third one is not a bug but is part of the design. I believe KoL intended for the taskbar to look like that since it is the same in the WindowBlinds version. I think the first two are caused by limitations in Windows XP, not by KoL's awesome VS.

Hi all. Kol, great VS, thanks for your hard work.

I have a question about installing the Top start buttons that you included. I've downloaded resedit, opened the msstyle file but I have no idea what to do with the image file and where to put it. I've looked through all 22 posts and I couldn't find any instruction on how to do it, only a few unanswered posts about doing this. Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks!

    • how about fixing the performance?
    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
