Neowin Exclusive Interview with Pete Hines

Recommended Posts

how long does it take to process audio? i, as an proffesional audio engineer, would have done the job well in max 2 hours.

I'm sure you could have done this in 2 hours. However the person who is doing it for us has a job, and a life and cannot do it in 2 hours. However long it takes, it takes, unfortunetly.

by the way, will the link be posted in this forum? or where? sorry im new to neowin...

It'll be posted on the main Neowin page, and I'm sure someone will post it on the ES forums. And I'm sure it'll be Slashdotted, Digged etc. So, yeah we may have to have someone torrent it up in the end.

When you say the "Main Neowin Page" do you mean the Gamer's page? Which is this page:

Or just play neowin.com. This one:

Heh, Pete was surely nice about answering the questions. And when Todd walked in, you sorta felt that "oh you are doing an interview? if you talk about *insert secret thingie here* you will be destroyed!"

People, please. Be a little more patient. I may only be a moderator over on the ES-forums, but spamming the Neowin forums with constant posts like 'is it ready yet?', 'we're gonna raid Beth HQ' etc. will not aid to the process of finalizing this interview.

These guys have granted us all the opportunity to listen in on a spoken interview with Pete. We should not repay that favor by polluting their forums with meaningless posts, only to dissappear without a trace afterwards (which 99% of you guys who suddenly registered yesterday will probably do).

So on behalf of myself (and quite possibly Neowin as well), I ask of you; please give it a rest.

It will be done when it's done. All we can do now is wait...

Thank you,

Milt

Right, my bad. I didn't realize that accessing one's website repeatedly to find information which was promised was a bad thing. LOL

Seriously. There's nothing wrong with wanting to know if there's an estimate time or how the process is going. The mods over on the TES forums are power hungry rent-a-cops. Threads get locked if they don't like the way something smells. It's idiotic.

If someone discusses the Xbox 360 half the time the thread gets locked because a Mod is afraid something might happen.

If someone asks a question about Shadows it's automaticlly locked and directed to a thread created a month ago which hasn't gotten any answers in it.

I was banned because someone was flaming me in my own thread, and I did nothing.

THe mods over there are a joke. In every other forum on the internet, they are a massive joke.

THe mods over there are a joke. In every other forum on the internet, they are a massive joke.

They do a pretty good job overthere.

Sometimes they close to fast but better that than having a spamfest or some trolling.

That said, I'm gonne read through this horrific thread, trying to find any information about the article.

Hagar

Well as I said, if it wasn't Tuesday it would be Wednesday. It is still Wednesday here, but it is looking less likely it will get done today. I haven't been in contact with the guy who edits it for us, and I'm not going to botehr him anymore, as he is obviously busy.

So all I can say is sorry about the little wait here. And thanks Milt :)

I agree, and this is coming from someone who got a warning for telling a troll to get lost when he was flaming TES and us for liking the games.

They are humans and got fault just like us.

I have to disagree with you. I'm a mod too on a fresh new forum. And I'm not like that.

And on the official TES forum, the mods are doing a fine job, I think. But you have to see, that forum is a not completely free forum. They have to obey the laws set by Bethesda, I think. So don't be hard on them. Yes, sometimes they lock topics too quickly but that's okay.

And Milt! You should see that here we just would like to get updates on the status of the interview. We aren't pressuring just asking for infos. And I think Loc is doin' a fine job answering. So no problem. And some jokes can't hurt, right? Or you don't like them? :p I like you on the TES forum, don't ruin it now.

Anyway, I can't keep up my watch for much longer tonight, for 1 more hour maybe... So I guess I'll have to wait one more day to hear it. :(

But I really appreciate the effort and I won't disappear. Though I'm active on several forums so I won't the top poster but I like this site. One more good thing other then the interview. ;) :D

lol, as in employer, I can say this is unacceptable. But, then again I only live in the real world.

ps

I am very very thankful for all the work everyone is doing dont get me wrong, and take this interview as a priviledge, not a right. However, reading "Wednesday at the latest", then reading no go on the whole wednesday deal, I had to laugh...lol...there i laughed again, sorry.

    • Weekend PC Game Deals: Cyberpunk 2077, Split Fiction, Sonic Racing, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Weekend PC Game Deals is where the hottest gaming deals from all over the internet are gathered into one place every week for your consumption. So kick back, relax, and hold on to your wallets. The Epic Games store brought along two games from wildly different genres this week for PC gamers to claim. Robobeat is a rhythm-based action game that lets you become a bounty hunter that can wall run, slide, and bunny hop around his opponents. All you have to do is stick to the beat for the built-in or custom songs. Next, Citizen Sleeper is a sci-fi RPG adventure taking place in a ruined space station. It uses tabletop RPG-inspired elements like dice rolls and timers to change up how players approach its activities, factions, and storylines. The Citizen Sleeper and Robobeat giveaways end on June 25. On the same day, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and Voidwrought will become the next freebies. The bundle space expanded with two more collections from Humble this week too. The June 2unes bundle is up first, carrying plenty of rhythm games. This carries Kill the Music and Rhythm Witch in the $5 starting tier, followed by Trombone Champ, Spin Rhythm XD, and Thumper in the $7 tier. Paying at least $12 gets you the complete bundle, which adds on Kalpa: Cosmic Symphony, Everhood 2, NOISZ, and Sixtar Gate: StarTrail. The next bundle is for virtual reality fans. This carries Among Us 3D: VR and Zero Caliber VR for $10. The next tier brings in Tactical Assault VR, Ancient Dungeon, and Arizona Sunshine Remake for $15. VTOL VR, Zero Caliber 2 Remastered, Metro Awakening, and Thief VR land to finish things off for $18. Free Events It's a big week for free event fans, as Valve kicked off another one of its Next Fest events. This one carries thousands of gameplay slices from upcoming indie games The promotion is set to run until June 22. Standard free events are also ongoing this weekend. This includes the sci-fi grand strategy experience Stellaris from Paradox and the hit SEGA management game Two Point Museum. Asymmetric multiplayer horror title Dead by Daylight and the hit mech shooter MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries are also free-to-play over the weekend.
