Well... wad' to say besides GREAT!? :) I have been running Bluuna and was looking around for something more "clear" that has an edge to it and this skin kinda just fell onto my lap. I like it alot! It has a very professional feel to it.

Funny how ppl are so bad at reading OP that they go through all teh trouble of screenshooting and posting a bug here... which OP already mentioned :} *giggles*.

I hate to be the Simon Cowel of visual styles, but b0se, this isn't your best work. I like the overall style, but it has it's roughness. I'm glad to see you switching it up a little, but it should be a little more refined. Hopefully we'll see some improvements in the next version.

I couldn't agree more... I know it is a beta, but the fact is we have no idea what will change in the final and what will stay. Perhaps we're all a little spoiled by the first mockup/teaser that was shown, but that looked a lot smoother IMHO. Maybe some of the other colours will change my mind though. :)

"It's a beta" isn't an excuse, it's a fact.

i think everybody is aware of the fact that its a beta, but you(plural) don't have to shove it into somebody's face everytime a criticism is made.

Criticisms should be more important than praises and I as being a small time programmer welcome critcisms as it allows me to excel further in what I do.

Then make criticisms. All anyone is doing so far is complaining. Be specific -- what precisely don't you like and why?

Thought id take a peek into whats going on in windows themeing again (been using suse for last few months)...i always rem bose as one of the top designers, but this beta left me disappointed...i could look past the beta bugs (and there many) but the overall design just didn't seem to come togeather...perhaps bose is just testing some ideas with this one (interesting task bar widgets) so ill hope for better things to come, till then ill have to pass...

Always good to see a Boards Of Canada fan.

nice work as always b0se, been waiting for your work since XPMC RC3 was released last summer. I have to admit that codename opus 3.0 is my favorite theme ever, even now that I use windows blinds 5. Codename Opus 3.0 and Dreamland must be my favorite skins ever along with some classics from bant.

I was honestly hoping that maybe we would sometime see an updated transparent version of Codename Opus 3.0 for WB5 but this will have to do for now

Who cares, when the VS is done it'll be practically bugless, cos b0se is good like that. That's all that really matters. If you don't like an element either mod it yourself or find another VS to use.

I disagree. Because b0se is pressed for time, and based on history, he tends to leave a lot of bugs in themes.

Lot of bugs?? I have been using OPUS for a while as my main theme and I love it...and I dont really see any bugs at all...infact, non comes to mind..

Gotta realize that this is a BETA and he is doing this for FREE

anytime I try to download the GuiAirB1.zip file from the original post it is always corrupted. Is it just me or is the file just bad?

looking forward to testing this...

Are you using firefox, cause i have the same problem too,

switch to IE and the file arrive just fine :D just a thought.

    • The problem of course is simply that government does not always know best. My point is that agency is taken away from the EU consumer in these cases. I'm sorry, but I do not believe that governments (politicians) are inherently good, and "looking out for me." Primarily they look to themselves and their own personal desires first, foremost, and always. When the EU or the DOJ fines these companies, claiming to "represent the welfare of the consumer," how much of these billion-dollar judgments are handed to the consumers they claim to represent? Not even a dollar, as I've seen. Yet the EUC lawyers who are paid to sit around and dream up these suits make huge commissions on the fines the EUC adjudicates, which is an ironclad fact I hope everyone is aware of. It's also rank corruption, of course, but that's another topic. Last, when the EU inflicts these judgments, or the DOJ, take your pick, the costs are bundled right along in the cost of the goods and services these companies provide the consumers they are "looking out for." If you are someone who believes his government is his savior then you have my condolences. I think Apple is right here, because the whole scheme of consumer choice is that consumers pick and choose among the products companies offer. Microsoft Windows is more compatible with third party software and hardware than any desktop OS on Earth, which is my sole reason for choosing it. Just because the EUC forces companies do certain things it knows the companies do not want to do, "or else", has no bearing on consumer benefit. This Siri thing is almost idiotic it's so infantile. But this is what the EUC does when the EU in Brussels becomes cash-strapped and needs a big infusion of cash. Some people get upset by "big companies" but it's the opposite when governments dwarf the size and scope of these companies, which is so obvious it hurts.... I mean you can't honestly believe that forcing Apple to do things with Siri it has its own reasons to decline is something that "opens up" Apple, do you? Say it aint' so...
    • Looks like many years since the request was made, a directory tree view finally may be added. https://github.com/files-community/Files/pull/18537
    • There's this from last year https://gist.github.com/threat...364659a8887841aa43deca4efd9 but nothing about a buffer overflow that MS somehow can't code against. No matter what, it makes sense to take a "protected by default" approach.
