WTF!

This was never a "V" theme and never will be a one.

Vista x.x = Jemaho

Aer xxxx = MaStErHaCk

;)

I made it to be the first who released that, yes i'm working on a update for 48x48 iconsize and i'll aslo insert a substlyle with working shutdown and logof buttons (for use with a modded explorer.exe).

HAHAHA! Never a "V" theme? Look at "V" 1.4 It's the only way Jemaho got 1.4 out on the internet legally. So there is a V, and it's been out for a while.

My 2 cent. You want someting that looks and works like Vista? Dream on. What would be the change then ? Microsoft said Vista is something 100% new, and everyone would say there is a Vista running around based on Windows XP and WindowBlinds. ( Think of the costs ). If you really want Vista, guys, have some patience, upgrade your hardware and buy Vista. For now, WindowBlinds and XP is OK. Anyways, GREAT JOB guys, never thought XP would be this close to Vista :)

P.S. Now, where is that Radeon 9800 for my laptop? Oh, no can do? I'm stuck with this MX440? No comment.

Looks nice, but I don't understand why there must be a fake search and logon/off buttons. If they don't work, then why have them? It just seems cheap too me, but thats just my opinion. Good work, though :)

They wouldn't be there when skinners would be able to remove the Log Off and Shut Down texts. But because there's no workaround for, they have to place the buttons somewhere else: in the fake Search bar. And if you would remove those buttons, the whole start menu just wouldn't look that good anymore.

IMHO, if MasterHack would find some better image resources for the Search/Log Off/Shut Down buttons, this skin would rule the Vista-like skins! :D

Sorry but why should you get any credit? Everyone who has a Vista Aero theme uses Kol's hard work for its base. Then its just touched up a bit by yourselves. Not your skin at all really is it?

Apparently it's been said that KoL ripped his work from Microsoft, but I truly think of that as bullsh!t to the highest degree. I do agree that these need to stop, too. It's just going more for looks then functionality. Look, the whole bottom of the start button doesn't even work. The styler toolbar also looks like its ripped from Jemaho's styler toolbar for his Vista x.x and "v" x.x series.

    • I'd say the first one failed to be as popular as Apple anticipated, but the easy adjustment here is to make fewer of them next time around. It would only be a "flop" if it isn't possible for Apple to recover the design and factory tooling costs given the number of units sold, which I doubt would be the case. It isn't like no one bought them; it just failed to become the new hot phone of the year.
    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
    • This is exactly why I keep saying we are not ready for human free self-driving. These little "bugs" are may seem like random one-offs. There was also the Waymo that drove between police with drawn weapons and the suspect they were pointing them at. From a software perspective it is easy to understand how those extremely rare situations may not have been programed for, but that is the point. If AI needs to be told to watch out for every possible contingency, then it can never be successful. There will always be the possibility of a first encounter that the AI needs to understand to avoid.
