WLM beta refresh: UI

Well, do you think it's better or worse?

Personally, I hate it. Colours are far too light (If I ask for #000000 I expect #000000 not #AEAEAE) and they got rid of the curves :(

Bring back the old UI!

Yeah, the greenish layout was way nicer than now. I'd like to have the old version back as well.

It's so much better. Cleaner and simpler, a bit more in tune with the Live design of things.

Maybe it's just me, but I think WLM build 0566 looks quite a bit more like MSN Messenger 7, especially with the subtle colors

I agree, it's much better. The clean lines are a nice change to all the curvy designs we have now.

I like it to be honest - nice and clean... just wish they'd remove those ad banners (and have tabs off by default). Until then, I'm happy sticking with Trillian - though hey, it now allows you to rename contacts so that's a big thumbs up from me!

I think the *design* could use a little touching up. But overall, the UI is much improved. I hated the "expand on hover" contact list, and a lot of other clutter. In 566 it's looking and feeling a lot cleaner.

It's decent. Quite bright, would prefer a similiar look to Windows Media Player 10.

I _hated_ the hovering effect in the previous version that enlarged contacts and I didn't like the roundy design because everything else in the desktop isn't curvy and didn't match with my themes.

Now it's clean but I do agree it's a bit too light, regardless which colors I try.

It's probably a step back in the evolution of the interface, but not a bad step. The last version with the orange and whatever was ugly and hard to use. The Messenger 7 look is more familiar and easier to work with.

Its much better in my opinion, much more smoother, i think the chat window borders suck something nasty but everything else is acceptable

Compared with build 365, this one is 10 times better. Build 365 made me feel sick.

It's much much better than the previous release. They smoothed out the edges and really worked on a nice data flow while compressing empty spaces to maximize the useage of existing areas. Very well done.

Much better build. Colours are a major letdown though. Apart from the fact that I was almost blinded when I first installed, and I practically lost a chat window when going on Google (:p), all the colours seem sort of 'washed out'.

Like when I change it to Black, it's more of a wussy Grey. Ah well, still good I spose
