Allan
I live less then 300 METERS FROM train tracks. Yes, that's right, I can walk to the tracks in under 20 seconds. Do I always feel trains go by? NO ... I can stand 10 feet from some trains, and I don't feel them. Am I 'feeling impaired' ... no. But when you are on a road, that has a LOT of taffic, and you get used to it, and you walk near trains daily, you get used to the feeling. It'd be like riding a bike ... at first, it hurts, but after a few hours riding, it dosn't hurt as much ... So maybe this beautiful woman who, from what I can tell from research I did, had a heart of gold, and loved mostly everyone she met, couldn't feel the train. I know I"ve stood 5 or 6 feet (or closer) to the track as one flew by, and I didn't feel nothing. Nashy
I work next to a train line. I feel coal trains, I don't feel commuters. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/442706-an-example-of-irony-at-its-strongest/page/3/#findComment-587334388 Share on other sites
soothsayer
That is pretty tragic. I've always thought the best (or worst) example of irony was Christopher Reeve and his wife. He played Superman and became a quadriplegic, and she died recently of lung cancer and never smoked. Alpha2004
I dont think that this is ironic, but then again I wont get into a discussion. It would definitely be ironic if the woman saved another person who wasnt deaf, when the train signaled its horn... blabla its 1:46 am off to sleep i go.
