Update to Backwards Compatibility

The newest titles for this month are:

BLACK?

Star Wars Battlefront? II

World Soccer Winning Eleven 9

I'd also check out previously added titles to see if any improvements have been made (for the one's suffering from bugs or low performance).

It's nice to see Black finally added, while the game isn't exactly what it was hyped to be, it's still a pretty title and seeing it at 720p with AA would be very nice.

I bolded Chaos Theory because we had been discussing its shotty compatibility in another thread today.

Yes, it seems this is the case with Halo 2 as there was a mandatory Xbox Live update yesterday. But I'm not exactly sure what they changed/improved. Can anyone confirm?

FYI: The update will come down when you insert *ANY* original Xbox game. Not just one that was updated.

I see. So you're saying it was most probably an update to the emulation engine as a whole, eh? If that's true, that's kind of unfortunate as the subsequent patches may break/stop other games from working (or certain parts of other games) while adding new compatability for new ones. But let's hope not! (Y)

I retract my enthusiasm. :hmmm: The updater freezes whenever I try to update the backwards compatibility. :(

Edit: Nevermind. It was only when I tried updating while Fable was in. I popped in Halo 2 and it updated just fine. Odd....

I'm starting to think they actually were on vacation. No real update whatsoever until this month. And the update that WAS added this month is very small and only adds a few titles.

I really think they need to go faster and get the backwards compatibility to a bit more reasonable level. Don't get me wrong I was very surprised how much was supported when the 360 came out, it's just since then that the ball has dropped a bit.

    • I just started using Teams (and “New” Oiutlook) at work (instead of Slack) and both are truly abysmal pieces of software.
