a.) i have used a dlink router and wireless card for a while, and it worked okay, but i wasn't crazy about it...so i went and bought the wrt54g router...and love it...

b.) if you're gonna buy the wrt54gs router and then only buy the g wireless card...i would suggest it b/c you're not getting your money's worth from the router....

c.) compatibility issues...no...i have the wrt54g router at home and when i go stay with my mom during the week her boyfriend has the wrt54gs router...and i'm on it right now...so no problems...

best advice...either get the 54g w/ speedboost router and card or get the 54g router and card...

definately linksys.

My friend bought a D-LINK DI-624 and it was dropping out constantly. My friend also barely got any signal and he was only about 30-40ft away from the router. I had to build him a cantenna so that the signal would be strong enough to not get disconnected all the time.

okay guys i have finally set up my router and everything else but i have run into a problem :(

the router is connected to the modem and my pc (with the CAT 5 wire) i have no problem with my pc everything works just gr8, now my laptop has the wireless adapter and it works fine under the admin account (no problem) but when i log off and login as a limited user, I can still see the router and get a signal but i get no IP so can't connect to the internet.....any1 have an idea what is going on? all I'm doing is changing accounts from an admin to a limited one. I already try changing the limited account to an admin one and nothing :(

PLS HELP!!
