I saw that lamp at my local IKEA the other day. That thing is HUGE and will most likely take up a lot of space on peoples desks.

You must have been looking at the big size. There are two: the desk lamp, and the floor lamp. Desk lamp it the smaller one (mine and 2s2k's) and the big one is the floor lamp version.

That does not look like a Tsunami case

mrk, where did you get that case? its gorgeous!

is it well built? screwless?

I bought it from a local pc store like 3 years ago when I first built my pc :p - since then the case has seen 3 pc upgrades lol. I just dont like the rear PCI mounting brackets because it makes a pain in the butt to get in some cards like TV cards and soundcards that have many sockets on the back that stick out. But other than that it's a nice built case. I would prefer a new one with 120mm fan holders though for quieter operation but tht's another upgrade for the summer :)

It's made by a company called Tsunami, they mainly make ultra budget cases now with keyboards etc. I think my one was one of their topline models back then though.

i know the company.... never seen taht case though :)

Hey mrk, what you think about those sennheiser 485s? I love mine. But I had to get a small headphone amp to really get the full potential out of them. Even with an MAudio soundcard they werent doing what they could.

btw, you still taking pics with a Rebel XT? or is that a 20?

Nikon D70 at the moment but moving on in the summer!

The HD485 are awesome headphones, I had the Grado SR60 before these and the Grados were also awesome but the only downer was comfort, they began to give you a headache after an hour and they had little to no soundstage. The HD485 has it all, comfort and soundstage :)

I know what you mean by the amplifier though and I don't think there is any soundcard powerful enough to get the best out of any headphone in this class. I used to drive mine using my santa cruz soundcard (music orientated too) and iit was good but when I started using my reciever instead of pc speakers the headphones really shone out on how good they are and compared to the Grados I much prefer the Sennheiser, also ?30 cheaper than the SR60 and comes with more accessories!

    • yeah it seems to be Edge only. The dialog buttons work as expected in Chrome and Firefox. The phone is using Android 16 (OneUI 8.5) and Edge version  149.0.4022.53
    • I'm not aware of this issue, but to help the other guys.  What version of Android are you using? Did you try a different browser? To see if Edge is the issue here.
    • I agree when are you going to read this (really poor BTW) article? Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
