Anonymos by using proxy

Hi... if I use proxy with my browser, and make an account on a website, can they see my real ip, or is it possible for them to find my real ip?

And what is transperant proxy?

It is possible to find your IP if the proxy sucks or by the use of Java/activex.

why would you want to make an account using a proxy server an anonymous person owns; they could steal all your information.

Tor and Privoxy are good. Configuration might be a bit hard but you'll get it.
