Camino is way too outdated and (unsupported) for me to bother to use it anymore. Though I still run Safari as my main browser, I'll sometimes pop up an optimized Firefox (with aqua widgets) for some bothersome sites.

What makes it outdated and unsupported? Didn't it just recently have the 1.0.3 release?

What exactly is wrong with Safari?

Okay if you can tell me a way to do some of these things on safari i will stick with safari.

1) Unlike firefox I find you can't double click to open a new tab beside the one you have.

2) When you do open a new tab it opens to a blank page... Id much prefer home page.

3) Some sort of ad block?

So pretty much my only problem with safari is the tabs system.. Yes while these complaints do seem small I find that little annoyances like these waste time.

Is there some sorta tabbrowser preferences out for safari?

Safari feels quicker than firefox and looks more mac app like so I'm tempted to use it more often. But there are a few extensions I need that are in firefox and there's something about tabs in Safari I don't like (can't put my finger on what it is)

And a little ofttopic/ Does anyone know how to enter the http://www.com bit with the shortcut? Command+enter (like firefox) opens a new tab (annoying) and I think googles or guesses the address for the site. I use it all the time in firefox and IE. Can you do it in Safari?

Safari...

Used Firefox for 2 months almost all the time, but I went back to Safari as since it has this special feeling.

Oh and it's quicker!

Errm. Camino gets nightly updates.

Yeah, I've noticed this, and 1.0.3 wasn't released all that long ago, either. But Camino is partially based on Firefox, is it not? I was surprised to see that it does not yet feature such things like tab reordering, for example, or ad blocking.

I've tried Firefox 3 Alpha 2, and the application itself blends a little better into the Aqua UI, but the font rendering is awful. I hope this is fixed in the final 3.0 release.

Somehow I can't stand Safari :p It's

1. Can't quickly open tabs unless I reach for keyboard

2. Nothing on safari works as good as adblock + filtersetG

3. Image resizing...apple is still in the 90s for this feature

4. Set as wallpaper ?

5. It has a weird tendency to freeze/crash if multiple tabs (think 7+) are loading together.

6. Back-forward is way too slow compared to Firefox. (memory leak ftw :p)

most are trivial features but they keep me away from safari. For firefox #5 is true as well, but then at least restore session helps sometimes.
