Cant uncheck "Read Only" for my /fonts/ folder..

D:\Windows\Fonts - Its set to read-me only, so I cant view the folder at all. I tried unchecking it, and applying it but It says "Access denied" like I am not logged in adminstatror or something. How do I force it to uncheck read-only? I need to install some new fonts. Thanks.

Is because is a system folder, why do you want to unmark the read only attribute?

To install fonts, goto the fonts folder in Control Panel and go File>Install New Font...

Simple.

There is no need to remove the read-only attribute from the font folder to add fonts to the system. Just copy the new fonts to the fonts folder. The system will take care of the rest.

Windows generally ignores "read-only" folders anyways. \Windows folder is "read-only" yet Windows still functions.

If you really need to remove the read only you are going to have to do it in a command prompt. Just install or copy the font like they said.
