Because (which is evident to me now but wasn't at the time) she's a crazy c*nt.

so why did she do what she did? i.e. trash the screen..?!!? its not as if you did it behind her back.. if she was there.. and she didnt like it -why on earth didnt she walk away!?!?

Yeah, that part worries me a little. We are still together but it's strained. Needless to say I'm sleeping very lightly these days

There was a trip to ER at 5 AM and stictches for a nasty hand gash that happened during the wanton destruction (aforementioned shap clips right inside the frame. But she'll heal. She didn't even realize she was bleeding all over everything.

Goodness. I hope no one was injured.

That looks to be felony destruction of private property. Or is it love? You decide, but keep us posted

I think there is a very important lesson to be learned here.

I think it had more to do with the fact my income is directly tied to what

i do with the equipment(web/aaplication programmer. I was also the thing identified as being uniquely me and for her to target that speaks volumes :no:

It seems like somehow you may have crossed the line and loved the computer more than your significant other ;)

All that aside, she definately has issues and isn't someone you should be around.

As soon as I get work it around without a knife in my sleeping ribs, she's gone

uh... that is harsh... im one to not have 'things' come between myself and those around me, but this is different. this is a sign of some serious mental instability...

i have to ask though, is the significant other pregnant? reason i ask? my x-girlfriend is baring... and ive notice some serious wierdness since, hence the reason for the "X" though im not sure how it will end up, i have to remain optimisitic.

I did not that only my critical equipment was bashed, Th gift of a 20: IMac and a 12" PB came through unscated. It took every once of nobilty I could muster too not add her rquipment to the top of the bonepile

Well... Ok.

It's a simple case of lack of communication *and* being tested.

The lesson I learned is this:

Never, ever do a 3-way even if you're convinced it's ok and a good idea. And if you do, act like you didn't like it and couldn't care less.

As for the relationship, eeehhh... We'll see.

Thats great... so can we assume the 3-way wasn't worth it? and who paid to replace everything?

Read down, I said it was *almost* worth it :)

Or... it would have been worth it to have lost just one item.

It's all replaced now, except for the pda/phone and I didn't care much for it anyway and will just wait for the Moto-Q. And I ended up paying for it.

      Simple answer is yes, you will still get the Windows updates and as long as browser is up to date, you will be good. Only thing secure boot does is protect you against boot level threats and make it harder to install other OS's. I've been looking into this pretty thoroughly lately myself as wifes computer has secure boot disabled plus my other, older computers that run Linux, don't have secure boot enabled. Have seen all kinds of questions about this on the Linux Mint and MX Linux forums. Just don't suddenly enable secure boot now.

      You are mostly right about the ephemeral nature of it. As I mention in the article, if you dont add a second device or take a backup of your account before uninstalling it, then yes you will lose access to your account. That said, in terms of actual user experience when you sync multiple devices your message history carries across and there's also a Saved Messages chat like there is on Telegram to send messages and attachments between your installs. But yh, what you point out are correct and its not trying to emulate Messenger or Telegram.
