TweakUI with AutoPatcher XP

hey all,

I noticed this a little bit ago. For the TweakUI module, the way it's set up is that you also HAVE to put TweakUI in the control panel. Is there a way I can install TweakUI, but NOT have it go in the Control panel? This would be useful as I use AutoPatcher on a lot of computers, but I do not want TweakUI in the Control Panel.

A suggesdtion to fix this might be to move the TweakUI in the control panel module to the tweaks section.

Are you sure you left "Windows Addons -> Tweak UI -> Control Panel shortcut" unchecked? :rolleyes: :)

Checking the option to install tweakui automatically installs the control panel option. The way it is now, TweakUI will ONLY install with the control panel extension.

I had same situation on the network I administer. I simply moved the tweakui.cpl file from the system32 folder to the Administrator desktop. Then I just right click on it and choose Open with Control Panel to run it. Users see the TweakUI icon in Control Panel but clicking on it does nothing.

this problem is corrected now btw, the tweakui cpl option is listed seperately. i think i forgot to do the same in the 2k3 release but ill do that next month.
