NFS MW : Post U'r Tuning On Lotus Elias

Recommended Posts

Tuning seems weird, like surely in real life, if you have a Body Kit and a Spoiler, this would be different to just a Body Kit, or just a Spoiler, but in game it seems as long as you have one or the other or both you get "the tuning option".

Getting a spoiler alone will turn on the Aerodynamics option?? I didnt noe that.

What about carbon fibre spoiler alone? Is there a difference?

BryanTimber, I am from Brisbane, Australia.

And, I don't think there is any difference for carbon or no carbon, cheap or expensive, LOL.

The One!, thanks, I will try left there. I have been trying different things with tuning, experimenting. Think I have soemhow gotten slower ;)

Milk, I am using a joystick, lol, it's what I learnt on in NFS Porsche Unleashed, and used in NFSU1 and NFSU2, so, I don't want to change :D

Does anyone else think that Stock Body Kit + Spoiler = narrower car with same tuning and handling?

BTW The One, I guess you slide through corners alot, yea? I have been going for grip the road style driving. I am not sure how I should be driving for top times...

Currently on HH my fastest lap:

1:14.32

Gaah thats frutsrating!! :p

My current tuning is:

+5

+1

+2

-4

-2

+4

+3

As for the first fork, I go left, and then cross to the right :). I also try to go through the right side passage at the bridge instead of dipping down and back up.

Ian.

Thanks for explaining how to do it ; )

.

Wow them are good settings.. My Lotus sticks on the road in corners very well. I used it online and the course was performance matching on.. I almost beat the BMW's and Porshe carrerai gt's.. just a few seconds off the mark.. I bet I could have won if I stop hitting stuff like lamp posts lol

Thanks :-) Im still trying to tweak them to excellence - but not quite there so far :p

my best is 1:35.xx on Diamond. 'Tuokool' can u help with my current settings ?

I'm not sure man, Diamond is my worst track atm out of the 5 maps I think. Tho I've only pracced it a bit.

I've pretty much kept same steering and handling for all the maps atm, trying to just get used to the one feel, -1 steering, +2 handling.

Maybe I should drop aerodynamics, I have + 5 aero, and +5 turbo atm. Just seems when I drop aero, I can't take corners as quickly, it slides into the walls at the same speeds.

Ride height seems nice up high too, it seems to flow over bumps better?

Also, recording video seems harder to drive properly, lol, so I dunno. I do have some questions tho, like, in Dunwich Bay, after you go up the long hill, then thru the short cut to the right, then past the tollbooth, there is a big jump before you go right again, I want to know best place to aim as I take the jump? Also, on Dun Bay, I found on the way down hill, after that jump, there are all those little short cuts with the Red and white barriers there, I found go thru 1st one with the fence, but the rest of them stay on road. Well, with my tuning it seems alot quicker on the road, full speed actually.

What you think? I need alot more prac.

yur 1st lap of diamond 1:39.xx is very good, I got no where near it, tho I drove poorly too ;P

I guess you are the same guy on WR forum too ay ? :D

re Dunwich Bay, I think I know where to take that jump now, well, an ok way. I go on the right of the pole on the left if that makes sense

Also, I was taking the "short cut" on the right after the 1st tollbooth, but I think it might be quicker on the road.

How about we start posting our top speeds also, because I'm not sure if I am too slow due to a tuning setting or something?

I wish we had a dyno, and could set our gear ratios ;D, tune ecu and turbo :)

Maybe Carbon will bring back some more tuning.

I got a video of a 1:17.98 lap on Dunwich Bay done, no nitrous, no junkman. It's about 16 MB with lots of ugly DivX compression :p, and if you watch, you can see I can drive better lines + I have seen a few slightly quicker, but harder lines in other laps I've done. Some of the objects are missing, due to sloppy driving in laps before this one  , but I tried to take the same lines as if they were still there.

It's 3:35 AM here  , and I got work tommorrow, 10 AM rise.

Only place I have to host files over 10MB is filefront, sorry if this is a prob for any of you.

This is only my second round of pracing Dunwich Bay.

Steering: -1

Handling: +2

Braking: 0

Ride Height: +5

Aerodynamics: +5

Nitrous: 0

Turbo: +5

:)

1:28 was with a crash man, and it was the 5th lap :D, 1:26-1:25 for 1st lap, tho I can do better, yes.

I might try Diamond tonight, My times were very bad last time I tried, but I had no Body Kit on, so maybe they will be better this time.

I was planning to try East Park track, but I wil have a few goes of Diamond.

Do you take the 1st short cut in Diamond? On the dirt? Do you drive on road after that, or keep taking the corner on the grass? Also, when you get to the BurgerKing, do you go on the footpath, down the left hand side there, or underneath? Also, ;) , Do you smash thru the table and chairs on the right turn at the end of the straight, or do you try and miss them?

Thanks for any tips :D

Therefore, DRM-protected media won't be supported in Zen Browser for the foreseeable future. • I was using searxng for about a year , self hosted, but results were starting to timeout and eventually it became unusable so I switched to degoog. Much better for my needs, more polished and add-ons like maps and calculations etc

    • Hello, I am not as familiar with AMD CPUs as I am with Intel's, but as I understand it, that's a mid-range CPU from about three years ago.  I would think it to be fine for everyday casual-type use.  A larger SSD might be better, but with storage prices these days that's a decision that has to be carefully thought about.
