why must ichat confuse me?

hello, im quite new to jaguar and all only having my mac for a week or two but love it to death. anyways i dont even bother with aim and use ichat, however if i got like 5 im's going and are all minimized in my dock i get the sound that someone has responded and the icon of ichat bounces but i dont know WHO said it, without cycling through all my msg's, is there a way to enable something thatll let me know who responded rather then just knowing someone did?

Adium messenger does that. the only thing in iChat that can announce is the text speak options in the preferences

gator, just visited your site for the first time. i must say i like it alot. great job with the mac-look on all platforms. im looking at it on a win2k box. i had to send my iBook in for repair :(:( first time in almost a year i havent been able to have it there fir me :'(
