Please use this thread as a reference for this topic, as time goes on and availabilty changes, the poll will be updated.

AVG > any other one AV solutions

And FYI, there is no one "end all" solution for AV. AVG will miss things that you'll need another program/tool to remove. It's the best because it takes up the least resources and has the one of the highest detection rate. Not to mention it's free.

Grisoft also just purchased Ewido so spyware protection may be added to AVG.

I cant believe ppl are still having this dicussion. NOD32 for all ur antivirus needs, Its worth the money. [EOD].

As anti-virus choices changes every year among people due to new better programs or trial and errors, we all are bound to have changed our choices of anti-virus programs. These polls helps people make the right choice.

I use NOD32 and have been using the trial versions every months for the past 2 years. I am very happy with the performance and behaviours of NOD32.

I have some questions for you guys :)

Does AVG free comes with a real time scanner AND is it low on ressources?

Is Trend Micro Officescan any good AND low on ressources?

Does Avast free comes with a real time scanner AND is it low on ressources?

if it is possible, please include the number of processes those software are using on your computer and the ressources per process they take...

thanks in advance to anyone that can help me with my question :)

    • I'm aware. That information should have been included in the article, making it more complete and information.

    • Regarding the AI photo, I LOVE AI in that regard, you ask it what you want and it gives you a lovey photo in under a minute, that would taken me an hour to make in photoshop and it wouldn't have looked nearly as good. 2 nights ago I spent a couple hours collaborating with AI.  I did not say write me an article. I would write one or 2  paragraphs, then I would ask it to clean it up so it read better but still keeps the information I was trying to convey.  Rinse repeat.
    • for AI content? 😶
    • If anyone ever wondered about @Warwagon's MVP status, this is why. Excellent post!
