[help] How do I remove the RealPlayer context menu

Recommended Posts

I use realplayer on rare occasions, so i need to have it on my computer.. the problem is that I don't like the context menus that appear when right clicking on a media file on the desktop. ie "Play in RealPlayer, Add to Playlist in RealPlayer, Burn CD in RealPlayer"

is there a reg hack to remove this?

thanks.

start > run > regedit > ctrl+f > enter what is written on the option in the right click menu > delete appropriate key (you may need to search many times until you remove them all)

or, if you look through hkey_classes_root and find every media file extension that realplayer has a menu for, you can remove it like that

Also, http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html might be able to do it too.
