Germans had yet another excelent game, and scored some nice goals :D Its obvious that equadorians werent playing their best, probably didnt want to get exhausted before theyr next match against whoever :D

anyway sweden vs england is going to be cool. I want swedes to win against english, but then i dont want english play against germany, nor do i want that swedes would loose against germany. But between those 3 its better if germans and english progress further :D

If you can't tell, Ecuador isn't playing with that urgence like they did in their first two games. I am no fan of Ecuador but if you watched all the games they played, you can tell they aren't playing like they could. Could Ecuador beat Germany if their forwards were playing? Most likely not, but they would be showing better class.

I agree, i believe Ecuador was saving energy.

They did 2 great games....i see no other explanation for the game they presented today.

Anyway its kind useless to run like mad when you are already qualified.

Of course the germans are the ones that have to keep up the good scores.

Actually the WC will restart the next round, and this time is for good.

Now we will see who is up to the title.

Im looking forward to see German X England in the next round.

In this case im with England.

England are playing great so far. This first half alone was better than the previous 4 halves that England played. Playing like that, it will be hard to beat them. Nonetheless, lets see what they do in the second half.

Great goal by Joe Cole. Best goal so far (Y)

Magical goal by Joe Col:happy:y:

Radish?

One of the best goals of the tournament... I thought it was going to shoot right over the goal but it dropped down perfectly! The match is far from over, though at least England are playing a decent game... Rooney looks like a serious player. I wouldn't be surprised if it ended a draw or turned right around, though I'm hoping for an England win.

Fantastic game, why couldn't England play like this in the 2 other games, If we continue to play how we are, we have a really good chance off winning the World Cup.

I dont think England have played that well. We have played adequately, but I would not say we would win the World Cup playing like we are against Sweden!

Cole's goal was out of this world. Goal of the tournament so far.

    • Bluesky COO warns social media regulations could destroy competition from small startups by Paul Hill Fears that increasing government control of social media risks regulatory capture by the biggest social media firms were raised again recently. Bluesky’s chief operating officer said in an interview that social media bans for children and tighter regulations for social media firms risk creating a world where there are only a few social media platforms run by companies with the deepest pockets. Regulations on social media firms have been very lax since they appeared for mainstream users in the 2000’s. This gave Meta, Snapchat, and Google time to build up their user bases and get entrenched, with Meta being the most successful. Now that Meta has succeeded, it has been attempting regulatory capture. By pushing for more regulations of social media, Meta hopes to make it more difficult for rivals to challenge it. For its part, it doesn’t need to worry about the cost of regulation because it has a lot of money to spend, whereas startups do not. Speaking to CNBC, Rose Wang, Bluesky’s chief operating officer, said: “I support the protection and the safety of youth, the question that we have then is at what cost, because essentially what I’m scared of is in the long term, we’re headed to a world where there’s about three to five platforms, and extreme heavy regulation of those platforms, and basically the whole compliance teams of these platforms are 10 times the size of our entire team. So, basically, we’re living in a world where it’s almost impossible for smaller entrants to come in and build healthier spaces. These platforms have led to a place where the bottom line is the thing that drives what they do... so I understand why governments have to step in and regulate, because the platforms have done nothing right.” She said that while she is not against regulation, there needs to be more channels between the small to mid-sized players and regulators to help protect them. She says that big tech players, on the other hand, “who we know are circumventing regulation,” need to be regulated. Essentially, the Bluesky position is one of nuance, rather than absolutes. While Bluesky’s proposal may preserve competition in the social media space, it still doesn’t address the massive privacy implications these age verification measures introduce, such as handing over sensitive identity documents to access age-gated content.
