Exactly... in the Italy match they only drew because of an own-goal by the opposition.

NEway, what was with that US guy going down for ages? Ghana did an amazing tackle with no contact and the US guy, without his legs moving, went down and was stretchered off... how did he injure himself? Bit too much theatrics for me and the crowd is too quick to boo as soon as anything doesn't go in favour of the US.

I bet you thought that was a penalty too.

Anyways, yeah he did fake that. Thats what i cant stand about this. He knew he ****ed up, because if you watch the replay he looked over his shoulder to see what was about to happen, and he was like "oh ****", and started acting like he got stabbed to try and play it off like every damn player does. Its pretty annoying.

If you played soccer, you would know that someone can get injured like that. It's very dangerous in the knee when both feet clash like that. He was not faking as he was taken out of the game in a stretcher and returned with a grimace on his face. He was then substituted because of that injury a few minutes later. Next time, stfu, ok?

I bet you thought that was a penalty too.

Actually, I didn't think Ghana deserved the penalty but it was a strict call rather than an incorrect call. Just because I want Ghana to win does not mean that I will overlook anything disfavourable. It's just the fans are really annoying me... anything that goes Ghana's way and the US fans are booing - it's appalling.

It's a close game at the moment and it could still go either way... nothing is clear cut in the slightest.

Maybe because he got injured, hence why he was substituted 10 minutes later?

About the penalty, that was a made up call by the ref. Its obvious he screwed up on that call judging by all the favorable calls he gave the US team in the second half, many of which weren't even fouls to try and make up for it.

Having said that, congrats to Italy and Ghana. Czech Republic is without a doubt, the biggest disappointment in this World Cup.

US squad needs to be revamped.

I've been waiting for this match the moment the Italy match was done and Bruce Arena and Landon Donnovan screwed me over.

Bruce Arena known for taking chances.. plays a 4-5-1 for the whole cup! there is no way that your going to score enough goals against the best teams in the world. Even so, play defensively and then.. when your down with less than a half to go.. why are you still thinking defense. Your opponent's offensive attacker (Ping-Pong) its exhausted and your still playing defensive. What does it matter? Lose by 90 goals lose by 1 if you dont score any yourself you can win it anyways.

Landon Donnovan.. supposed to be the best player on our team throws the cup away. He totally blows a free kick that needed to be driven into the box.. blows it 30 yards out of bounds.

This was a horrendous cup for the US and calls for a restructuring. Not much you can do about Donnovan not performing.. but Bruce Arena needs to be removed for a coach that uses some common sense.

Such a great squad wasted with such poor management.

Can't completely blame the loss on a terrible call by the referee (which it was) you have to take some initiative and try to make the goals up. You've worked for four years straight and your whole career for the chance to win a cup.. and then you just concede the game to a squad which was beatable (heck of a game they played)

R.I.P. Team USA '06

Good thing that Germany will win the tournament and Klose will win the boot.

American soccer is pathetic.

I do not agree.

I think they were unlucky.

And referees were not on their side in any game.

I think they do a pretty good game for a country without much football past.

USA was in a group really hard.

That Mcbride players is actually pretty good.

I believe if they engage a coach with more football experience (South American or European)for the next world cup, they could get pretty good results.

Imo, they should do like Japan (and other Asiatic countries) and bring more South Americans to play with the local teams to help the development of their skills and increase the experience.

Not just few brazilians stars like Pel? in the past and Romario right now.

Germany with the classification in the first position will get some tough adversaries now, Sweden first and then Argentina (almost sure), and maybe Italy in the semi-finals...Would have been much better if they finished in second of their group.

Sincerely i see Argentina in the Final from one side and Brasil or England from the other side.

Check the FIFA panel and you will understand what i mean by left and right side.

Anyway, soon Brazil x Japan.

I believe Brazil will play against Ghana next round.

Go BR !!!

:DD

GO NETHERLANDS! IT'S OUR TIME!

Sad day for the Czechs. They're probably my second favorite team. I felt Milan Baros and Pavel Nedved played very well and they had some great chances that just couldn't find the back of the net. Maybe if Jan Koller was there, the result would have been different.

    • Here's how to watch the Xbox Games Showcase today and what to expect by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The June games showcase week has been a packed one, with everything from major presentations like Sony and Summer Game Fest to indie-focused reveals coming in almost every day. Now, it's almost time for another big one, with Microsoft bringing its Xbox Games Showcase back later today. This is a double feature too, with a Gears of War E-Day deep dive also being attached to it. For anyone wanting to tune in online, the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase is kicking off at 10 AM PT | 1 PM ET | 6 PM BST | 7 PM CEST later today, June 7. The event will be available to watch on the official Xbox YouTube (4K 60FPS), Twitch, Facebook, Steam, Amazon Live, and other portals. Separate livestreams for American Sign Language and Audio Description will also be available. "This year marks 25 years of XBOX, and this Showcase is poised to be a true celebration, offering world premieres, new gameplay, fresh updates, and more for a swathe of projects we cannot wait to share," said Microsoft about this presentation. With a new CEO behind it that is pulling off some interesting moves, Xbox may have some surprises to reveal today. New looks at first-party games like Halo Campaign Evolved from Halo studios, Fable from Playground Games, InXile Entertainment's Clockwork Revolution, Mojang's Minecraft Dungeons II, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 from Infinity Ward are to be expected here. We may finally get to see the new Blade from Arcane Studios in action and a new Persona game from Atlus at the showcase too. Surprise announcements may also arrive from other Microsoft-owned studios like Bethesda, MachineGames, Ninja Theory, Obsidian, Rare, World's Edge, or Blizzard. Considering how every new release nowadays is staying away from November and December to avoid Grand Theft Auto VI's release, any launch dates Microsoft announces will probably skip those months as well. Once the Xbox Games Showcase ends, Microsoft will immediately kick off the Gears of War: E-Day Direct. This deep dive into the upcoming prequel from The Coalition should attach gameplay footage and perhaps a release window to the highly anticipated project.
    • People in the '50s and '60s had the same attitude, and we're still here over a half century later.
    • So after some fiddling I was able to get it to run at a pretty stable 30FPS. I'm slightly surprised about how much fiddling I had to do to get there though given what I thought was reasonable hardware: Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics Memory: 16 GiB of RAM Graphics Processor 1: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics Graphics Processor 2: AMD Radeon RX 7700S I think I could do it better if I use Linux rather than Windows, Windows RAM usage is stupid without stripping the system down. But once I got it working in a reasonable state, it was so awesome! I felt like a new Bond! If anyone has any advice to get things going a bit smoother FPS-wise, I'd appreciate it.
