How do you think you will fare against England :p?

To be honest, like I have been all this World Cup, I am in no bit worried. Why? Costinha won't be playing and thank god, because he does nothing good for the team and Petit or Tiago are better than him for his spot. Deco, he will be missed, that is a no-brainer, but Simao will start in his place (be assured of that) and he is faster than Deco.

Having said that, England, sorry to say, has been playing bad, bad football so far in this World Cup. That, accompanied by the excellent replacements we have for Costinha and Deco, has be confident for the England match.

Hopefully, it will be a game full of fair play, unlike the Dutch and their all out assault like they were playing FIFA Street.

How can you make an accusation like this? Did you somehow forget that Portugal had just as many cards as Holland!!

But as a side note: This was one of the most exciting world cup matches I have ever seen.

Portugal had more. I think they were the dirtiest...

Holland started the theatrics and diving early and the pushing of the Portugal guy after play had stopped was disgusting... same with the Holland keeper elbowing that guy after an aggressive slide (the slide was wrong but after play has stopped you do NOT attack back). Neither side played fair but I would say that Holland were easily the worst side.

Its sad that no fair play was exhibited by the Dutch two times when Portugal kicked the ball out to have a player assisted AND when the ref paused the game for an injury and had a "face off" in midfield with the Dutch refusing to give the ball back.

They didn't deserve to progress

Some fair points. I am a bit scared of Portugal, not really because of their players (although they do have a lot of quality) but because of Scolari. Scolari is by far a better manager than Sven will ever be, his tactical knowledge can win a game on it's own. When England go behind in a game Sven just sits there.

I think Steven Gerrard will be vital for England, and Rooney will have a point to prove after breaking his foot against Portugal in the Euro's. England have been playing very poorly and I have been critical of them, but the thing with England is that they always raise there game against good team's, so we do have a good chance.

As for the discipline, even though England is one of the most physical league's in the world, our team generally has good discipline (although Rooney may be liable to break a few leg's).

It will be an awesome game though, I for one cannot wait :D!

No, Martyn. Both had 2 red cards; they finished 9v9

I was referring to the total number of cards issued (yellows and reds).

its going to be soo much mroe easier for england now- since portugal players wont be able to attack for the ball as hard as they normally do-since nearly the entire team are on yellow already.. :D

Hopelly that be our plus+ :woot:

Portugal had more cards!

By the way did anyone see Simao kick Van Der Sar in the face? That looked like it hurt :pinch:

And did you see Kuyt boot on Ricardo's groin? Now that got hurt ;)

well. was a bad game and the end to one of them on this cup. Feel sad for netherlands, they deserve to win, well, at least the last 20 mins

Hell yeah they played better since Costinha was sent off...It was 11vs10.

BTW Martyn, L3thal, are you portuguese?

Clearly you have no idea what football is.

The dutchs started everything when they ****ed C. Ronaldo.

I've been playing football for 15 years of my life, I believe I have some idea of what the game is about.

Cards do happen in games. Just because the first card was issued to the Dutch, doesn't mean they are to blame for every other card. Portugal were the ones headbutting behind the ref's back, delaying the game, and causing more drama than the Dutch.

    • No updated SSD capacity, no updated specs (not surprised tbf), just nostalgia baiting! Bring back the boot sequence and the UI as an easter egg!
    • Why? It will just cost so much more and make you PC poor and they become PC rich off your calamities! “Just because you can” isn’t a flex either!.
    • Microsoft confirms a new, useful Teams' app is coming very soon by Sayan Sen In the modern digital workspace meeting recordings and summaries are very commonplace, still finding the right recap later can be surprisingly difficult. To address that inconvenience Microsoft is working on a new dedicated meeting recap application designed to bring all meeting recaps into a single, centralized location. In a recent announcement on its Microsoft 365 roadmap website, the company has confirmed the new applet and has explained how the new experience will work and why it believes it can help users stay on top of discussions without having to search through multiple chats, calendars, or files. For those unfamiliar, meeting recaps provide a summary of key discussions, decisions, action items, and other relevant information generated after a meeting ends. They are intended to help participants revisit important points while also allowing those who missed the meeting to quickly catch up on what happened. Traditionally locating older recaps could require users to navigate through various conversations or meeting histories. The new meeting recap app aims to simplify that process by gathering all available recaps into one dedicated hub. According to Microsoft, this should make it easier to browse past meetings, review outcomes, and stay informed about ongoing projects and discussions. One notable feature of the applet is the addition of quick filters which are meant to allow users to instantly narrow down the list of available recaps and surface specific meetings without manually searching through extensive records. Audio recap is also there. If you're wondering how long these recaps will last before self-expiring, the app will provide access to meeting recaps from the past 30 days or approximately one month. You can view the feature entry here on the official Microsoft 365 (M365) website under roadmap ID 564614. Its rollout is set to begin this month (June 2026). Do keep in mind though that new feature rollouts often get delayed.
    • Does it have couch co-op is the question I have here.
