And whats the matter with Maniche celebration...I've did he take his shirt off? I don't think so... Did I went directly into the crowd? I don't think so... The truth is, I've seen other players do the same in this WC and no one complained ;)

i just meant, i was surprised he wasn't booked after all the other bookings that he had given out.

The only thing you have to your advantage is Figo's mini head butt, which by the way, took the Dutch player 6 seconds to realize he was touched and then fell like he fainted from the hit

Very good point. Deco was red-carded for being thrown on the floor

I honestly don't care. I was more worried of Holland than of England. I just laugh every time I think of England and the way they have played.

Brazil v Portugal - now THAT's scary

Figo head butt - red card end of story - violent conduct

deco was red carded for taking the ball and not letting the opposition play the ball.

Its sad that no fair play was exhibited by the Dutch two times when Portugal kicked the ball out to have a player assisted AND when the ref paused the game for an injury and had a "face off" in midfield with the Dutch refusing to give the ball back.

They didn't deserve to progress

That was a sour point, and if I remember right, it may have been the catalyst for everything that followed. Still, that was no reason for Deco to make the tackle from behind, and he did the same thing some time later when he refused top give the ball back to Cocu, which resulted in his sending off.

You're right though, that the Dutch didn't deserve to progress. They had by far the more of the ball and a ridiculous number of chances to score (20 I think), and they didn't. So no, they don't deserve to progress.

In the end, it turned into a match of ###### for tat, which was sad. Until all the cards started being thrown about, it was a great match.

Leaving all this talk aside, I think we overlooked something. Deco sat side by side with Gio V. Bronckhurst after Gio was red-carded while the match was finishing and they were talking and joking.

Now that is fair play from both (regardless if they are teammates) :)

England may not have played convincing as of yet, but we have a thing called class which is non-existant so far in Portugal's team. I find it hilarious that every Portugese fan can't find any fault in their game today.

Yes, your fans have class as well, causing disturbances during the Germany - Sweden game

WHat i find the most amusing is that everyone from England here (except Martyn) is against Portugal.

Netherlands started the chaos and theyx got what they deserved.....period

you are absolutely correct!

yes, that was the best part of the entire match.

i find it hilarious when every 'portugal-hater' (like you england fans just cuz we defeated u in 2004) cant admit that holland was by far the team with less fair play...

Yeah, it was good to see them joking after seeing that war on the field.

God damn it, the Germans started it

Leave it alone. They are bitter about 2004, can you imagine 2006? :pinch:

lol @ most of L3thal's comments...

Both teams were awful in terms of discipline, Figo's headbutt (which I hope FIFA takes retrospective action on, despite the yellow card. I hope that they might not adhere to the double-jepody rule as the referee didn't see the infringment yet issued a yellow) as that is dispicable, the push from the Dutch player after a foul, the throwing Deco to the ground...

I'm all-in-all disgusted at both team's actions, and I'm especially disgusted with the Ref's behaviour. He should never be allowed to take charge of a FIFA game again with a performance like that.

Wow this thread is hot. lol.

the only "brazillian" player is deco...

Can Brazil and Portugal meet before the final? Don;t have the fixture list at hand. That would be something to watch..

I think that Portugal can defeat England, even without Deco. England have been far from impressive.

And seeing Gio van B. and Deco together at the end was good. Misery loves company, no ;)

    • Apple finally brings the slider for Liquid Glass and many other changes by Aditya Tiwari Apple kicked off the official live stream of the WWDC 2026 annual developer event. The company began its latest wave of announcements with changes to the controversial Liquid Glass design language, which debuted last year across Apple's entire software ecosystem. A lot of people didn't like Liquid Glass when it first arrived on iPhone and other devices last year. The devices were plagued with transparency issues and whatnot. While Apple improved things over the year, it has now added a new Liquid Glass slider that lets you switch the transparency from clear to opaque. The sidebars now expand to the edge of the window. When you scroll the UI sideways, the refraction continues beneath the sidebar rather than being cut off at the boundary. Moreover, Apple has changed the way Liquid Glass is rendered across the system. There is a separation between different layers, which makes buttons in the toolbar stand out from the background. Apple said it "deeply appreciates" the feedback it received from users and has made adjustments to Liquid Glass.
    • FWIW, I've been using Helium on Linux and Windows since the first time it was mentioned here. Actually, maybe a day or 3 before, as I searched for it when I saw it mentioned on the MX Linux forums. Haven't had a single issue on either OS. Not bad for a beta.
    • See up until a few years ago y'all could get away with simply denying your war crimes, pretending it never happened. Unfortunately for you, it's the 2020s and Israel's genocide has been livestreamed in real time. You have to be dumber than a rock to think anyone still believes your propaganda. See the cat is already out of the bag. The world already knows who you are so do yourself a favor and just drop the facade. Bet it gets real tiring keep track of all the lies. Take some inspiration from Israeli ministers who boast on live TV they like massacring civilians. Every zionist accusation is after all a confession.
    • He's just reporting what Microsoft posted. https://msmessagecenter.com/MC1381119 It just means that Windows Defender updates will no longer be bundled into the monthly Cumulative Windows security update and will now be a separate download. They'll still be on Microsoft update of course but now they can be released faster.
    • Apple announces iOS 27 with no changes to the list of supported iPhones by Taras Buria At WWDC 2026 in Cupertino, Apple announced iOS 27, the next mobile operating system for compatible iPhones. The update focuses on tweaking and improving last year's iOS 26, particularly in areas like app launch time, Liquid Glass design, and more. Additionally, Apple has reworked Apple Maps with a significantly enhanced Flyover view for a much more realistic view. Apple also promises better performance, smarter search, new Health features, new parental controls, and more. The most important part is that iOS 27 is compatible with all iPhones that can run iOS 26. That means that even the seven-year-old iPhone 11 can run iOS 27 (supposedly better than iOS 26). iOS 27 will be available this Fall, with the first developer betas expected later today. You can follow the live stream here.
