Everyone will play. Not one player will be suspended for the France game.

Petit is suspended for the next game ;)

One goal does not show what a team played like. Don't be fooled thinking that goal represented the type of game England played all cup long.

I never said it does. You just called England "boring", that goal was not boring though ;).

Besides, the music makes it seem so much better!

OK if Ronaldo didn't cheat, why did he wink at Scolari after Rooney was sent off. And why did he virtually headbutt Rooney at the start of the second half?

Doesn't sound like fair play to me.

Pete

What?

How is his wink cheating? What game were you watching?

Here, let me explain to you what happened in simple terms -

Rooney grabbed Carvalho's leg, fouled him, and then stepped on his private parts right in front of the ref. All the players gather around to see what was going on, and Rooney, being a child he is, shoved Ronaldo. The ref gives Rooney the red card for stepping on Carvalho's private parts and Ronaldo heads to the bench right after and winks saying "we got this game now".

Wow, Ronaldo is a cheater because Rooney stepped on someone's nuts in front of the ref and got a red card. Man, Scolari should be considered a cheater for being on the bench

Penalty kicks are a part of soccer, otherwise they wouldn't be there. Portugal was better on penalties so they were better in the game. They deserved to win.

No, they were better at penalties. Playing football and taking penalties are differnt things.

I am not saying Portugal didn't deserve to win, because obviously they did, but they didn't play better football.

you will always have these people.

"England will never make the semi-finals"

England makes it.

"England will never beat *insert country*"

England wins.

"They win with luck"

luck is stupid. a win is a win no matter what.

People complain British people are so patriotic.

I'll bet if the US was at the finals we'd have a bunch of people chanting Yoo Ess AY. Yoo Ess AY.

So get lost you people who thrive on ignorance.

i'm really happy, that france defeated brasil

now, krpano...where are you? it's time to swallow down your infatuation, take your idols (fat ass ronaldo and monster teeth ronaldinho) and go home!!!

Im here, im not affraid of your attacks or anything else...i just have a life and im not infrot my PC 24hrs a day. :p

Well, Brazil did an awful game....i mean really awful and we can thanks our "great" coach.

(this makes me remember the bad coaching from Argentina, when they take out Riquelme/Crespo 30 mins before the game ends, when they are winning)

BR started playing with 5 mid-fielders and only 1 forward...when i saw that i realised we were doomed.

What they are affraid of ?

BR tried to make many things together, like win another title and still using old players to beat records.

Thats impossible.....of course, me as any other supporter tried to believe we could do it....even if in the deep of our minds we knew we couldnt. So i see no reason to attack me personally for defending my team.

The only diference from you is that i have eyes and i know enough about to football to admit when my team do not deserve to win.

France did a good game, i would not say wonderful...because they faced no team. Brazil didnt exist today.

Before the game against Spain i said.....ppl should watch out for the frenchies...i was sure they would come back....and nobody listened to me here, now we see the results.

Actually im happy BR was eliminated, because sure i DO NOT want our team to move on doing a crap gameplay.

I must say that what is missing is a coach and this coach is Scolari....Thats a coach !!!

England did a huge mistake letting him go.

Anyway, still this is football and someone must lose.

But dont forget we still have 5 stars and most of the world cup records....so a bit of respect to that would be nice.

Fora Parreira !!!

:x

Well said, L3thal.

Please! That was one moment of pure brilliance, with no small amount of luck and cannot be mentioned as an example of England's quality throughout the tournament, of which there was a considerable lack.

Wished they had gone through though, don't like Portugal. One plus us that it will make a more entertaining semi-final than England vs. France.

It depends on how you interpret it. I think Rooney was the one originally fouled, Rooney stepped backwards onto Carvalo's ball's, but I dont think it was with malice. Then I think Ronaldo came up and told the referee to send Rooney off, which was why Rooney reacted. I would of thought Ronaldo winked to signal "job done", in getting Rooney sent off!

It does depend on how you look at it, and you cant give a definitive interpretation without actually being inside Ronaldo's head.

England is so hype, they never played good football, what's wrong with you all?

The same thing to Brazil, they deserved to loose.

So is Brazil....half the people support it because it won the world cup 5 times.

I thought it would be England because they may have put everything in the game (like France just did)....but no...they played as they had played in earlier matches this WC.

No one hasn't answered how his wink is cheating

Is it his fault Rooney stepped on his nuts and got a red?

No one still hasn't answered how his wink is cheating

I never said it was. If Ronaldo winked at the referee then the referee would of thought he was about to be asked out on a date, but instead he told the referee to send Rooney off, now that is cheating!

Well if Ronaldo had not said to the referee "send the bugger off" then I doubt Rooney would of been sent off. So I would say it was Ronaldo's fault.

You guys are hilarious! So, answer this. Is Ronaldo the only player in the world that has requested that a player be sent off or got a yellow? Man, I swear I saw 5 French players today requesting for Juan to be sent off

Keep the excuses coming while England is on its way to London

How on earth is that cheating?

Man you make me laugh.

It remains a mystery, I thought that he was being malicious...but who knows.

Man you make me laugh.

If it were like that, it would not be cheating, but foul play.

Deliberately attempting to con the referee, and also to influence his decision is cheating. Which is why players are no longer around to suround the referee.

Even Shearer agree's with me: http://www.football365.com/news/story_187943.shtml

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
    • One reason it might be running hotter is dust build up within the cooling or perhaps the paste has dried out. You could always try repasting your old GPU and cleaning the cooler. Your experience in Linux will be much better with an AMD GPU; the performance in gaming is much closer to Windows than nVidia would be. I personally think on Windows, AMD drivers are junk.
