The Internet in itself is a decentralised system, an uncontrolled yet organized web with no specific ends, where no one is in control of what you and I access and what not (save a few exceptional circumstances). Internet today has become the very epitome of free expression and access to knowledge. If I am not wrong, that?s what you have always heard, learnt and come to believe over the years.

However, that my friends is nothing but a myth. Yes I mean it, and in the course of this article, I?ll give you reasons to agree with me and logically conclude as to who actually controls the Internet.

For starters, here?s a brief on the evolution of the Internet.

We all know that the Internet has been invented, groomed and developed to the current state by the United States of America.

Of course they can do all of that! They are just top tier network administrators.

I am a Network Systems Engineer that administers two domains. I have access to any information each of those users sends over my network. My users don't know who I am, but if I wanted, I could have any information I wanted that came in or out of my network pertaining to that user or a specific IP.

Could I do it? Yes. Would I do that? Absolutely NOT! I've got my job to do, I could care less what emails people send or accepted pages they go to as long as it does not potentially harm my network!

The ICANN and the DoC have their own system of checks and balances, and they are no more capable now than they ever have been.

Exactly. Being a system admin gives you the rights to do things like that. Sometimes you need to do it to either track down an issue someone is having or on the other hand you might need to look into someone's network usage for legal reasons. Whatever it is, there is always someone up there that can look at your business, especially over the internet.

That's right, Uncle Sam knows you download porn.

I dont think its just screen name that he changes. He always uses his affliates to do his dirty work, keep this in mind. So if u did trace him, u will get some other mad man, who forget how to use his brain reasonably decades ago.
