That makes sense, as it's an @msn.com address and you could only get those originally by creating one from XP. XP was launched October 25, 2001.

The first account that I ever registered with Hotmail was created on August 17, 1997. Since then I've switched ISP's quite a few times, and now am using .Mac for my e-mail instead of Hotmail (I tried Gmail, but the IMAP implementation seems rather quirky even with the workarounds posted on the Internet.)
