Yes Great Skins I Like The Lighting & The Tree The Best, I Have Those Two Loaded & Deleted The Default Skin, Then Just Set It To Load A Random One Each Time So It Will Load One Of Those 2.

I'm a "newby" member of neowin, and I guess it shows. I want to download one of Herby's PowerDVD 7 skins, but all I see is a small box with a red x within instead of the image. If I click on one of them I get an "unauthorized" error message from his virtualplastic web site. It's like I'm not logged in or something. What the heck am I doing wrong???

I found a couple torrents for the skins at isoHunt and Demonoid.

I tried emailing Herby, but his email address doesn't work. Could anyone provide a step by step guide to creating/modifying a PowerDVD 7 skin? Herby's instructions don't make anys sense to me. I have no clue about XML files. PowerDVD 6 was easy, all you had to do was replace a bitmap in a DLL.

I downloaded the BitTorrent files of the skins and they work GREAT! I personally like the Earthlights skin. Thanks for pointing us in the right direction Yochanan.

I'm going to try to add them as attachments to this post, but as a newbie, I'm not sure how this will turn out.

The skins consume a lot of bandwidth (? 1 GB/Day) so Plastic requested to host them somewhere else.

I'd like to try to make skins(for (powerDVD7) by myself, I read in this thread that there is a guide in the "help" section, but I could not find it.

can you tell me where is it? or anyway how do I make skins?

I downloaded the BioHazard from rapidshare, but the guy above says"somehow, rapidshare just doesn't like me".

I don't know that site at all, is it maybe dangerous or what?

Here's my contribution, basic black: Onyx BF

- used Herby's work as a guide

- modded stock PowerDVD 7 "Onyx" skin

- used the following Herby features, but left "Feature Icons" and stock speed controls:

* removed: DVD logo, Cyberlink logo's, Color themes & the Upgrade button

* changed the AutoHideDuration (Fullscreen) to 1000 (= 1 second) instead of 3000

* replaced the Backgrounds.

PS:

- had to ask Cyberlink Support for link to skins since built-in skin downloader does not work

- very quick reply with FTP link in less than 8hrs
