Middle click in FireFox

Is there anyway to middle click in Firefox, and make it do the same thing it does in windows?

What does it do in Windows? Linux user here, and I am set for middle-click opening in new tab, and middle-clicking a tab closes it. Is that what you wanted, or something else?

I believe he wants it to let him scroll quickly (the mouse turns into an up/down arrow).

I haven't tried this to see if it works, but try going to about:config and changing middlemouse.openNewWindow to false.

Middle Click in firefox, dont know how to enable it in Linux tho.. :unsure:

In windows it's context sesnitive though.

middle click on nothign and you get the scroll thingy and middle click on a link it opens a new window.

check if there's a "auto scroll" or similar setting in options.

Ugh! I hate that thing... Let me see what I can do on my Linux box to make it happen.

In about:config, change general.autoScroll to true. I just confirmed it works on my Fedora box.

Mine is programmed to go to "Zoom mode", instead of opening a new tab with the selected link.

I used to do that a lot. Then I got fed up with changing about:config so I emailed the Firefox developers who directed me to a technical support provider who then showed me how to do this in the option window.
