VS : well, classic (but not default scheme)

icon : that little "red triforce" thingy is from moricons.dll (dates back to windows 3.1 :p )

wallpaper : a 2x2 bmp, stretching gives that gradient (could have used 1x2 resolution. yes, two pixels)

programs : free launch bar, avedesk, ResHacked a few things and neutered stobject.dll

this is quite recent :), my desk is no longer ugly (to me) and usability was improved.

another shot only for showing off my use of the gradient and how I use explorer

how I use free launch bar (simple, tabbed app launcher style) (there's another row of games)

(yeah I don't want to pollute with lots of screenshots but they are light-weight and I wanted to show you the invisible things)

Well here's mine. Believe it or not, Windows 2003 Server Enterprise.

can i get a link to that start button please? thanks.

I belive it is in the le5 thread somewhere. i dont have just the startbutton, sorry.

@Big_L_Legend

send me your email, and i will send it to you. But the catch is i only have that start button for the black version of LE5

I'm the one that made that mod + the startbutton hover and pressed state so it's not in the LE5 thread :p

Dont try to PM me to request the mod cause I stopped sending it to others.

People that already have the mod cant send it either :)

    • It saddens me when cars are such dull colours now. Mine is bright metallic blue and I absolutely adore it for standing out in contrast to that depressing backdrop of traffic.

    • lol it was a typo, fixed! haha imagine an actual 4TB Gen4 NVMe for $40 in 2026
    • Get over it, has nothing to do with my point.
    • I really don't like these rounded corners and huge borders in the viewport. They just waste space without anything in return.
