Drive activity indicator

Ok, I've seen this on the Mac here at work and I've wanted it at home for a while. In the upper right hand corner, next to the apple logo, is a little hd icon that flashes when there is hard drive activity. Now, the bad thing is this is on an OS9 machine, and I now despise OS9 like the devil. So, I was wondering if there was an OSX iteration of this feature. I've heard it's done through Norton Utils. Any idea if this is avaiilable in an OSX version?

I saw an app like that like a week ago at ResExcellence. It was an icon that sat in the menubar next to the clock, and it flashed green on disk read and red on disk write I think. ResEx' search feature isn't the best but if you're lucky you might be able to find it. Can't remember the exakt name of the app though, sorry.

Man, another cool thing i can put on the menu bar. Along with Weatherpop, bluetooth, ichat, speaker, display, isync and the clock. Getting full!
