Another month, another UFC PPV. This time it's UFC 61: Bitter Rivals!

Here's the proposed card:

(Subject to Change)

Tim Sylvia Vs. Andrei Arlovski

Tito Ortiz Vs. Ken Shamrock

Dan Christison Vs. Frank Mir

Josh Burkman Vs. Josh Neer

Yves Edwards Vs. Joe Stevenson

Drew Fickett Vs. Kurt Pellegrino (TBC)

Jeff Monson Vs. Anthony Perosh (TBC)

Gilbert Aldana Vs. Cheick Kongo (TBC)

Hermes Franca Vs. To be announced (TBC)

Tim Sylvia Vs. Andrei Arlovski is just too hard to call! The last 2 fights have been close, the first ended in victory for Arlovski in just 27 seconds or so after Sylvia got an unfortunate trip! The 2nd bout looked to be Arlovski's after he got the blow on Sylvia's chin but somehow he countered and made for a very surprising finish! To tell the truth it seemed as though Arlovski was getting too big for his boots after so many victories and maybe that defeat was the kick in the backside that he needed!

As for Tito Ortiz Vs. Ken Shamrock, I dunno why Shamrock even bothers! Tito kicked the crap out of him the last time and he's just asking for more trouble! Randy Couture retired and even he stands more of a chance of beating Tito! Shamrock was a good fighter in his time, but I think this will be his final fight before he hangs up the gloves!

It'll be nice to see Frank Mir work up the ranks of the Heavyweight division again. Maybe he came back too early from his injury in his last fight, but he's got a tough task in the Octogon with "The Sandman"

I'm really looking forward to this. Id say:

Tim Sylvia def. Andrei Arlovski and Tito Ortiz def. Ken Shamrock

I really didnt like Ken's coaching in TUF3, It just seemed really "Meh do what you want to do, and ill take all the credit if you win" style where Ortiz was really into the whole training scene. And that showed up in the results.

Not finished yet here in UK so put it in spoilers...

LOL well ken was well worth watching...he lasted all of 1 minute 30 but I feel another fight coming on and I read somewhere Dana White might put next one on free after fans shouted BullS***

It only lasted 1:30. Tito takes Ken down with a wicked double leg slam. Ken gets put on his back, and they end up by the fence. Ortiz then lands a wicked right elbow and Ken gets visably (at least to me) rocked. Tito then rains down right elbows. After 5 clean, hard, and more importantly, uncontested elbows to the face, Herb Dean stops the match. Ken jumps up all ticked of, but Herb did the right thing by stopping the match. Ken was not intelligently defending himself at all.

The entire match at YouTube. See just how much Ken got "pwnt"

All in all UFC 61 sucked. The very first match was the "best" if only because of the blood. Shamrock was embarassed, and the Sylvia match was boring.

The very first fight of the PPV was so bloody and amazing. I was hoping it'd set the tone for the rest of the night, but the excitement waned after that. The Shamrock/Ortiz fight was kind of disappointing. And the Sylvia fight wasn't all that awesome either. Whatever though, it was a good excuse to sit around and drink with the guys.

Well, as most people guessed correctly, Tito destroyed Shamrock. I was surprised at the quick call, at first. But you can't blame Herb Dean. Tito could have killed Shamrock if he kept at it with those elbow blows right to the temple!

Arlovski/Sylvia was just plain dire! Bring on Chuck/Babalu - Chuch is so a dead man!

    • I like the show more options. The only problem with it is that it's not always in a consistent spot in the menu. If the copy/paste/cut, happens to show on top, then more option is the last in the menu. But if copy/paste/cut happens to show on the bottom, then more options is before the copy/paste/cut. But I do like the more options because it hides the stuff that I rarely use. But I would like to choose what it is or isn't hiding. That would make it better.
    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
