Remove Divx System Tray Icon

How can I remove the Divx system tray icon that popups when playing a movie encoded in Divx?

check the divx options. there may be one that says, "don't show notification icon" or something.

I did. There is an option to remove the logo from the movies but there isn't an option to remove the icon from the system tray.

That icon and the logo in the bottom corner of every movie was the main reason I uninstalled divx and installed xvid. I do have a Divx Create license from when they were giving them away, is it worth installing divx again if the annoyances can be removed or should i stick to xvid?

you could use ffdshow instead.

it's not too much of a problem the icon and divx logo...

it doesnt load at startup, only when playing a movie and tehicon is there for divx movioes that contain extended features though I understand they should only display the toolbar/icon for divx files with such content and hide it when there is no extra content

C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX\config.exe

i think this program is before the updates because that directory doesnt exist
