Day of Defeat: source works fine on my computer...just to let you kno.

i can play the game fine and stuff...

then when i am playing a server and they do a map change sometimes when i am loading the map and stuff like normal i get this message...

Disconnected

you map [maps/dod_anzio.bsp] differs from the servers

then i cant play that map. ever. and its not just this map its other ones too sometimes. most maps work though.

So, i was thinking, could i just go into the games folder(DoDs folder), then maps folder, then delete the map from there.

then i could just play again and when i try to go to that map, it just downloads the map again then i am all good?

so can i do that?

just delete the map, then download it again from going to a server playing that current map?

You need to right click DOD:S in the My Games panel in Steam

-Go to properties

-Go to Local Files

-Click Verify Integerity of game cache

That should fix it I hope as I never had to use it before, but that should do the trick without having to delete the map.

Deleting the map and allowing the server to download it should work fine.

If it doesn't, run the Integrity check and tt will check your DODS .gcf files to make sure nothing is corrupt and if it is, it will try to fix it.
