Anyone know if it's better to start using Adsense on somewhat completed pages of my under construction website or should I wait until it's somewhat done? Right now I'm just using an image I grabbed as a placeholder for layout purposes.

Don't bother adding ads until you already have the traffic to support it.

Actually now that I look at clicksor, I think I might do this one instead of adsense. It says that they send you paypal money every time you reach $20 which is better than everytime you reach $100 for adsense because I'm never going to make it to that.

ppl that have clicksor, what do you guys usually get per click?

I got banned from Google after making this PHP script that obligated people to click the ads in order to get in the site, it was nice, I pulled it off for 1 and a half months. :) Still got a big check.

how much did you get? And that will annoying me very bad, good thing google stopped you

I've done pretty well with AdSense. I've made just under $1,000 in under two years. That's not that bad considering I really didn't think I'd get anything. My best day was $15, the interesting thing is that the site that made most of that money only get a few hundred uniques. It's all about the keywords.

I bet he'll be thrilled when Google terminates his account for revealing his earnings. That's against the TOS.

They took that out of the TOS now, you can reveal your earnings.

Also, you should remember that you have to pay income tax on anything significant you make from Adsense.

I take it you knew this was against the terms when you did this? I'm still interested in hearing how much you made. It's just a shame that cases like this mean advertisers are willing to spend less on Google AdWords in the fear of getting burnt.

    • This is exactly why I keep saying we are not ready for human free self-driving. These little "bugs" are may seem like random one-offs. There was also the Waymo that drove between police with drawn guns and the suspect they were pointing them at. From a software perspective it is easy to understand how those extremely rare situations may not have been programed for, but that is the point. If AI needs to be told to watch out for every possible contingency, then it can never be successful. There will always be the possibility of a first encounter that the AI needs to understand to avoid.
