omg this has to be the longest icon thread in neowin history

keep em commin guys

great job

I don't think so :)

I think the thread where converting icons first began was way longer. It was the thread where Dazzla was constantly churning out conversions of the old MM icons :)

That's OK,I don't have time as well.I'm gonna learn 3D,Delphi (at least understand it a bit) and some other stuff like practicing in Fireworks and Flash.I know you use Cinema4D.Is it better than 3D studio max?

Oh yeah, and you could make short example tutorials for Cinema 4D (or 3D studio max-what do you use),so it will be easyer to learn it faster.Thanx :)

I haven't used Cinema4D, but I use 3Dsmax pretty often. 3dsmax & Maya are used ALOT more then Cinema4D. It would be more to your benefit to learn how to use 3dsmax & Maya.

thanks jago,i'm gonna make some icons in 3D app.So if you recommend 3D Sudio Max,i'll use it.What about Maya? Do I need to use them both?

You don't necessarily need to learn both, but it would be better (and look for you if you say that you know how to use both 3ddsmax & Maya.) 3ddsmax is ALOT in video games and Maya is used more for movie production, but Maya is starting to push into the gaming industry. The new Legend of Zelda coming out on the Gamecube on MArch 24th was made ENTIRELY in Maya. I'm pretty dure this won't be a problem for you, but Maya HAS TO be ran in an NT-based version of Windows (i.e.-Win2000, WinNT, etc.)

jago - Thank you,i'll learn both of them! BTW,I remember you requested some icon and i told you i'll make it but i didnt write it to my QuickNotes so I don't know now. What icon is it supposed to be?

It was a PNG for the website IGN...thx! Pleasure to help!

    • Ridiculous claim that the labor cost difference of $6000 annually would increase cost per phone by $200. The employees produce 3 phones per month or what?

    • Never used the G7 Pro, but I've never had a good experience with that style of d-pad and fighting games.
    • And I just bought a seat cushion for my mesh chair. The chair feels nice but the first time I sat in it with boxers, I realized I don't like the feel of mesh on my legs. 😂
