L3thal Veteran Posted August 10, 2006 Veteran Share Posted August 10, 2006 I have the same exact problem! The only way I have gotten it to work so I didn't need to close it via Task Manager was to open a new tab, load my home page, and then on the Yahoo Games screen, I will click the home button and it would leave the page. That of course, only works aobut 60% of the time. At this point, whenever I play at Yahoo Games, I already know I will have to manually close the browser. Raven
Didn't know Yahoo had games to play online but decided to check out the problem. Not sure which games your talking about but I logged in and played Spades. I didn't encounter any problems playing the game or exiting the game/browser. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.6 with Sun Java 2 Version 1.5.0 (build 1.5.0_07-b03) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/485662-firefox-and-yahoo-games/#findComment-587774308 Share on other sites

L3thal Veteran Posted August 11, 2006 Veteran Share Posted August 11, 2006 Well, apparently, after updating to Java5 Update 8, Firefox closes normally  Guess the update fixed it, at least for me. Thorpe
Well, usually I find Firefox has memory leaks because of Yahoo! Games then. This usually occurs on Yahoo! Pool but if the update has fixed it then that's great.
