That really does take the p:woot:s if you ask me :woot: If you read the full article it says how someone from the Man Utd supporters club thinks their prices are bad, it's only a fraction in comparison to Arsenals fee. Hell even Chelsea only stands at ?60.

holy crap!

I know its in pounds so converted thats like $240 Australian! Our top tickets (for a rugby league game - the only sport ill go watch) is about $100 - $120 for a home game. Cheapest are around $25.

Thats crazy! No wonder the players get paid so much

Well what do you expect they need money to pay for that brand spanking new staduim.

But still ?94 pounds i rather go out for a really nice meal with a friend then buy myself a ticket.

See my darling pompey are at ?30 AT THE MOMENT, i wouldn't be surprised if that goes up next season

That's cheap compared to hockey here in Toronto. Platinum tickets are $275-$350 + tax. The problem is that you won't be able to buy them unless you go to a scalper and pay even more. All Platinum, Gold, Red and most greens are puchased by corporations. And you can pretty much forget about playoff tickets of any quality unless you have thousands of dollars. Again, those with seasons tickets get first dibs (and nobody refuses).

Would you prefer to get your own seasons tickets? Well, add your name to the waiting list and your children may get them. I kid you not.

Many Toronto fans drive for hours to see hockey games. In Florida you could walk up to the ticket booth five minutes before the game starts and get great seats for cheap.

Did you accidently quote me when you posted that?

Nope, I guess they were laughing at your statement that Arsenal are the best team in the premiership.

?8 for me being a student, ?12 for adult... this is cambridge united we are talking about though.

offtopic but just got back from watching them lose 1-0. not that i mean to sound sexis:p:p but we had a lady ref and omg she was **** lol. not that we helped that, we played soo ba:(:(

...Either your guessing wrong or Im not catching the funny.....

Well this is about ticket prices so its not directly related to football.

Exactly! Leafs Fans definately have it the worst. You'd feel out of place in the bottom half of the Air Canada Center without an Armani suit, and 2 business clients.

 that is hilarious!

Arsenal have their new 60,000 seater stadium, but with prices like that I doubt more than 30,000 will go to see matches once the season has settled.

They have sold all season tickets.

You can only buy a ticket for a game at Arsenal if you're a member.

If you don't want to pay ?94 for the best seats, buy a cheaper seat or don't go atall.

Thats not that much. First of all here for football games you're lucky to even get tickets to a game, and if you really want tickets you have to reserve them a year in advanced . Then when you actually do get tickets they are about $75-100 for the very worst seats, and i have no clue what mid field is, i think they are somewhere around 5-10,000 for a season or about 7 games and you have to sign a contract for those seats for the next 5-7 years, and their are about 5,000 of those seats and you cant just buy those you have to have went to the school, dontate quite a bit of money to the school then have to get in a waiting line for a few years. Then if you really want to get tickets and have to get them from a third party they cost even more, for example the last game of the year alot tickets will go for about $2,000. I had two tickets to the last game a few years ago, and thought about selling them, but its like a once in a lifetime chance to get to go.

This is a 105,000+ stadium too.

Same for hockey in Montreal. I've seen people pay scalpers as much as $450 for red seats (closest to the ice) per ticket!!! Good luck finding tickets at the box office for hockey games. They sell out all 41 home games in a matter of hours when tickets start going on sale.

This type of thing makes me rather sit in my house and watch the Match. I mean look at the benefits of it.

You get a great view with commentary.

You can drink a case of beer and eat food

You can stick your surround sound on.

Easy access to the toilet

Also very easy to find where you're sitting!

If you go to the match then here's the negatives

You're paying to sit in a seat that you can just about sit on

You have to keep standing up because other people have to get past you to go the toilet.

You get charged an arm and a leg for food and beverage aswell.

It just costs so much money to go the game.

The good things about going the match are

The atmosphere. Singing the songs, When your team scores.

The talent of the players up close, so much better.

To be honest for the price you pay it's just not worth the money in my eyes.

I definitely think going to games is worth the money! I am a season ticket holder at Newcastle United - that article is wrong, the top ticket price is considerably higher at St James' Park than ?50. It is sad that Arsenal tickets are so expensive but perhaps they will keep them low for League Cup games to ensure a sell-out.
